[Guide] How to get into that raiding guild!

    Hi all,

If you've ever had trouble getting into that decent raiding guild, its time to read this guide =)

Step 1. - Asking for an application.

Its a good idea to do a /who of the guild, and ask a memeber if you may speak to an officer who is online

/w johndfd Hello, I was wondering if I may speak to an officer of your guild?

Next, you kindly explain to the officer you wish to join his/her guild and if they have a website that you could apply on. Remember to let him know your interested, but dont give him your life story.

/w officierdfd Hey, sorry to bother you, but I am extremely keen in joining your guild. I was wondering if you have a website or forum I could apply at?

    Step 2 - Applying

So you got the website and now its time to apply. Usually theres a thread asking for a layout like:

    Name
    Age
    Raiding Experience
    Etc.

This is pretty common sense, but remember a few things,

    1. They will probably want ages 18+ or at least older than 13 ^_- adjust your age accordingly as needed

    2. If you have not had much raiding experience LET THEM KNOW YOU WILLINGLY READ UP ON STRATEGYS this is something the officers will like a LOT.

    3. Dont try to get too serious, or suck up, try to include some basic humor, but answer it "normally". Check your grammar and spelling.

    Step 3 - After Applying:

It may be okay to whisper the original officer your spoke to about your application, but once you tell him dont bug the guild any longer.

/w officerfrombefore Hey, just like to let you know I've applied on the website, I really hope I can join you guys =)

    Step 4 - Wait.

Dont constantly ask officers, dont bump your thread 24/7..now you will have to wait.

Just remember sometimes you cant get in for a variety of reasons - eg they might have too much of your class. Dont swear them off etc. Kindly thank them and go - you never know when they might need that rogue in the near future!

Thanks and I hope this helps =)

Common sence... Atleast for people who aint retarded. Can be usefull for people who is going to apply.. Though, most people now that it will be impossible to get into the guild if you call everyone in it for fags.

    rep for contribution

Well maybe its common sense, but let me say we get like 3-4 applications every day-2 days, and half of those are like this: "Hey, can I join, im Dr00d, i real want to join" etc, very bad aplication. I can give an example here: Hey i am a balance druid i wanna join your gulid plz i have 854 i try to get more plz i got one green item waist i gona fix badges soon

<name> the Boomkin wanna join plz

hey m8ts can i join the guild i have wanna join becuse i think all are nice and i wanna raid much just wisp me in wow or something my name is <name>

That is how you should not apply!

    Thanks for the rep Katak,

    to the flamers;

This is not some sort of crazy exploit uber hack to get into a guild, its for people that have had trouble applying. yes, its common sense but why do i see a lot of applications (like a poster above)

hi im a 70 dr00d with +380 spell dmg i can raid n farm mats plx can i hav invite?

the general note is to be polite, use proper grammar etc. some people may not know that + i have included examples they can copy /paste and get a real idea of what to say.

please, flaming me for posting common sense - im doing a lot more contributing then you just trolling threads here

Even if you're nice, and polite you won't be joining a BT/Sunwell gear without having the best gear available to you up until that point. Nice try, but as everyone else said - this is common sense.

im pretty sure when a 13 years old kid says he is 25 and then comes on Ventrilo / Teamspeak and goes -"Brb guys my mom wants me to do dish's." would blow his cover or just the little girly voice kids have

but yeh this is basicly common sense unless you are a tad retarted "which alot of people are and it makes me sad."
