Hopefully this will help you if you don’t really enjoy doing BG after BG or fishing for hours on end. The point is to be able to lie on the couch and watch TV or do other things you like then you “play”.
The first thing you will need is a control pad. I prefer Logitech since I am so use to the PS2 controller but the make and model is up to you, even if it’s an older one.
Newegg.com - Logitech 963326-0403 Cordless RumblePad 2 USB - PC Game Controllers works very nice.
Next download the xpadder program. The Official Xpadder Homepage
You will want to download a skin of the control pad you have. The Official Xpadder Homepage: Download Controller Images
You then need to open Xpadder and set up the buttons to how you would like them to act in WoW.
Currently I have mine set to something like this.
L1: Next Target
L2: Jump
R1: Left Mouse Click
R2: Right Mouse Click
D-Pad: W,A,S,D
Left Analog Joystick: Mouse Movement
Right Analog Joystick: Scroll Well Up & Down
Select Button: Map
Start Button: Esc
The other 4 buttons I have assigned to my most used skills. I play a Mutilate Rogue as my main so one button I have for stealth and the other 3 to my most used skills, Mutilate, Kidney Shot and SS for emergency combo points. You may have to play around with the buttons to get them exactly for your liking but this whole process only take about 10 minutes at the most. This setup has worked great for me in BG’s and without paying much attention I can get quite a few kill and actually help out a bit on Defense.
Next is fishing. For fishing I turn off all sounds on WoW except the sound effects. When you press the button to cast place your cursor on the bobber and keep your finger on the right mouse button. When you hear the splash noise simply click it and cast again. Last night I gained about 80 points in fishing while just relaxing and watching TV at the same time.
I have been using this method for a week now and it’s been great for some stress free honor grinding and fishing. Enjoy.
