Hunter Vs. The Rogue PVP

This basically details the tactiics of defeating the rogue class in pvp.

After my previous guide was relatively popular i decided to make a rogue thread! http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-gu...vs-hunter.html



Strategy

Drop a Frost Trap, Frost Trap is superior to Freezing Trap against rogues because they can Cloak of Shadows and resist a Freezing Trap, leaving you defenseless

Hunters mark the rogue so you can always see them unless they burn Cloak of Shadows

Use Flare near the area you are standing, If you are standing on a Flare the rogue cannot Vanish and use an opener on you, s/he is forced to use non-stealth abilities

If you get stunlocked in the rogues combo, use your PVP trinket or Bestial Wrath then intimidate or scatter shot if your BM/MM. Burn your cooldowns and dps using the Multishot , arcane shot combo (instant attacks) then maybe an aimed shot for a high ap marksman. if you have time.

Continue to kite the rogue with cuncussive shot, and if your specced mm the proc may stun he/she

Do not alter your strategy if the rogue uses this as a counter. Evasion provides only a 25% dodge rate against ranged attacks. Most of your shots will still land.

Serpent Sting
o Instant cast for decent damage over time
o Rogues can use Cloak of Shadows to remove all debuffs
o Most rogues will open with Cheap Shot and then Shiv to apply Poisons

o Use your PvP trinket if its up at that time!

This will break you out of both the Cheap Shot stun and the Crippling Poison snare, allowing you to move freely

Frost trap again, concussive shot, your cc then blow cooldowns and rinse and repeat

If the rogue shadowsteps use pvp trinket or bestial wrath if they stun you then feign and Freezing or frost ttrap behind you to trap him

** Handy : Feign death means the rogue has to retarget you **

Even well geared Rogues should be struggling if youve got the technique right.

btw should add spam serp sting so when they CoS u can serp sting them and block vanish.

I just made an account to comment to this scrub disaster that's by far the work most garbage spec ive ever seen

improved aspect of the hawk is SUCH GARBAGE...
rapid killing is garbage aswell....

and whats with getting savage strikes over humanoid slaying?

And to the guy above me you dont spam serpent sting cause than u can't scatter shot trap a rogue

point is guys if you want to beat a duel master, all you gotta do is spec 41/20 yes thats right BM is the only real way to beat a rogue with ease

i know im a lousy leacher but if your a 70 hunter you should know how to play your clas..... asn you left out wat hunters should do if the rogue shadow steps..
