Newcomers guide/tips to the AH

INTRO:

Hello people of MMowned.
I made this guide mostly for newcomers so most of it will be basic stuff.
I have even met level 70 players who diedn't know how to use the AH correctly, but it's still mostly for newcomers.
Well unto the guide.


How to start:

Start off by downloading Auctioneer:
Auctioneer addon for World of Warcraft
This addon is very important (atleast a very good help) if you want to make money off the AH.

How to use:

When you are done downloading Auctioneer unpack it.
You will likely have a folder called "Auctioneer" or something like that.
Then go to:
C:\ProgramFiles\WorldOfwarcraft\Interface\Addons and put it there.
Then you should log into WoW and go to the nearest AH.
You will now see alot of tabs at the bottom. Right now you should jsut click "Scan". This willmake Auctioneer go through the whole AH and collect all the prices, and build up a database.
Do this twice everyday (morning and evening) for 6-7 days.

Looking for items of interest:

First of all go to the AH (ofc). What you will be looking for is:

- Cheap greens (ranging from low to high level)
- Twink items (blue items for level 19-29-39-49)
- Cheap blues (you might not want to start with blues since they cost more)
- Underpriced items.

Now go through the Weapons/Armor sections since they are the best sellers and buy all the underpriced items you find.

*TIP: Don't buy everything Auctioneer says is a good buy. Auctioneer is a program and can make mistakes. Use your head!

Selling:

Now that you have bougth some items (weapons/bags/armors) go put them on the AH. Remember to put them for more than you bougth them for!

*TIP: Low level greens can sell for alot of money too! I've seen level 20 greens go for 1g+ AND THEY STILL SELL!

Remember to not put the bid price to low! Alot of people will forget about their bid price and make them really low.

Allways have a buyout price on your auctions. People will want their items fast and not wait a whole day to get it.

Disenchanting:

Another thing you can do (if you're an Enchanter) is to buy greens/blues and disenchant them!
If you're lucky then this will profit alot.

*TIP: Blues are best to disenchant

One of the most common and best selling disenchanting things are Small Glimmering Shards. These will come of blue items. By disenchanting alot of blue items (30-40) you will be able to profit alot.
