[Guide] Farming Primals

Hey guys. Here is a guide on where to farm each primal, and about how much they go for. Enjoy!

Primal Shadows

The fastest way that I have found to farm primal shadows is to kill the void elementals near Oshu’gun. These elementals are called voidspawn and according to WoWhead, have a drop rate of about 19% on Motes of Shadow. The area these little guys spawn at is a big one, so basically you just have to circle the entire area around oshu’gun and you will most likely never run out of voidspawns to kill. Just watch out for Durn!

Primal Shadows go for about 20-25g a piece on my server.

Primal Lifes

The best trick I’ve found to farm primal life is to farm these in south-western Zangarmarsh, particularly if you are an herbalist. They are these level 63-64 elementals called Fungal Giants and Starving Fungal Giants, they are easy to kill and you can herb them after killing them to yield another chance for motes.

Another way to farm primal life, and to net some extra gold by selling the herbs you get, is to kill and herb these level 70-71 elite forest elementals in Skettis called Talonsworn Forest-Rager.

Primal lifes go for about 12-15g a piece on my server.

Primal Waters

To start off with, there are two places that i find are the best place to farm primal waters. First is the the lake to the north east of shattrath in Terrokar Forrest, and second is lakes in the middle of Skettis.

The second body of water is the big circular lake in the middle of Skettis. This place is great for farming primal waters to make gold. The strategy here is basically to just go around and around killing water elementals in the the lake, it's as simple as that, but watch out for the elite that's in there with the other elementals.

Primal waters go for about 20g on my server.

Primal Fires

Head to the Throne of Kil'jaeden. At this area, there are a ton of fast spawning fire elementals called Incandescent Fel Sparks, which have about a ~34% drop rate on motes of fire.

The trick to farm primal fires in this area is to sit yourself in an area where there is little activity, so you can maximize your kills and save you time. The best place that I have found to do to this is the south west part of that area. There are usually around 3 of them there, and they spawn really fast, so should be smooth sailing.

Primal fires go for around 22g on my server.

Primal Manas

Ok, most people think that the best place to farm primal mana is the ghost town place in Netherstorm, that could be, but in my opinion the best place is where you do this quest Maintaining the Sunwell Portal. The Phase Wryms have a 34 percent drop rate on motes of mana.

Primal Manas go for around 15-20g on my server.
