Ok this is a question often asket on my server, so i just did a littel reseach, and made this.

Demo locks arent really being used at 70? Lawl kekek.. The SL / SL Build is, however. NOBODY is using Demo for Farming, Raiding or PvP'ing.

It would be better for a Mage to go Scryers, yes. The shoulder enchants on both factions are arguably the same.

Scryers' Shoulder Enchant: 15 spell ccrit and 12 spell damage.

Aldor's Shoulder Enchant: 10 spell crit and 18 spell damage.

However, If you are a tailor/enchanter, I would definitely go Scryers. You can get the Mystic/Runic spell thread pattern which is spell damage and stam, whereas if you go Aldor, you get the healing leg enchant.

I definitely prefer the SSO Aldor effect for a mage though.

now that nethers are BOE, its doesnt matter what type of spellthread you make. it sells for like 10G more than the price of mats.

the various epics you get at exalted are obsolete now that S2 gear is available

the shoulder enchants make a TINY difference.

so here's is a summary of the REAL GUIDE:

Do some research as to which SSO neck is best for you planned class and spec, and go with that. simple, easy. there is a SIGNIFICANT dps difference between the procs, and that's a neck many (almost all raelly) classes with be wearing well into MH/BT id not beyond into Sunwell.

The general rule of thumb in end-game raiding is to supplant mana return/DoT/critical rating with consumables, as pure damage/healing/mitigation is generally superior in point for point equivalency. It's a player/gameplay style preference, GENERALLY if you want to optimize your end-game experience Aldor will provide the most raw damage/healing/mitigation statistics.

As for the offhanded comment that no warlocks go Destro, many have found it the absolute best caster DPS scaling spec in t6 - t6.5 content, sustaining the utmost damage in concert with Rogues. For PVP, no, kill your self. <3

Well, if you say this you need to tell us WHY, which items etc.
On most realms Scryer is usefull because of the fact that it's usually alot cheaper to buy signets/arcane tomes. (Atleast on my realms).
