YOU'VE FOUND YOURSELF IN NAGRAND, talking to Wazat, the Goblin who wants an egg out of a nest in a nearby tree. To get to the nest, he wants you to use his Jump-a-Tron 4000 and try to land in the nest. It's goblin engineering... you probably know where this is going! (Quest: Bring Me the Egg! )
After many, many unsuccessful tries... each of which resulted either in near death, or actual death, I finally figured out the key to reliably landing a successful jump. Blizzard left a fantastic clue on how to line yourself up with the nest on the design of the nest itself. Landing successfully is relatively easy once you realize this guide post is there.
The first thing you want to do is hop on up on the Jump-a-Tron and stand square in the middle of it. Next, line youself up with the branch pictured below by right-clicking your mouse and lining up your camera view: (click the YouTube video)
Basically, I lined up the top of my hat with the branch sticking out of the nest pictured below.
After that, position the camera directly above your character by left-clicking the mouse so you only move the camera and not the character. Click the Jump-a-Tron and get ready to right-click on the Jump-a-Tron "buff." When you hit the top of the trajectory, right-click the buff to turn off the float feature. If you've done it correctly, you should land in the nest and lose about 2/3 of your health... but you'll be in the nest!
