Zangarmarsh, the best place for herbalists (300-400g+/hour)

You need an epic mount to have that much proft., if you don´t have one you will get less gold ( less than 50% i think)

Doing Daylies with a healing-shaman really sucks, so i looked out for different ways to make money, i farmed terocone or the tree giants in Skettis for some time, but one day i went out of ragveil and therefore out of mad alchemists potions.
Price for ragveil was ~15g/stack for a long time and i simply bought them. Then and i was shocked when i saw the exploding prices due to the island of quel´danas
so i went right to zangamarsh to farm some ragveil because i don´t want to spend 30g for 10 potions. i was really surprised when i saw how much money i could make there in just one hour
(tree giants and terocone both gave me 150-200g/hour because it takes so long to kill them with a healing shaman, and you couldn´t do the perfect round, but they are farmed by 2 bots atm, so it´s hardly possible to even see one of them alive for more than 30 seconds,

when i went to zangarmarsh for the first time i made allmost 900g in about 2 and a half hours

there are several points why Zangarmarsh is a great area for herbalists (and especially tanks or healers)
- you can gather 99% of all spots without aggroing anything
- i have never seen more than 2 70´s farming there besides me
- no ganking, because allmost everyone else is lvl 62-64 and only has a normal mount


i will now tell you about the of the herbs which you can find there and the prices for them on my realm (Lothar EU), my brother plays on a low populated pvp-realm, prices there are pretty much the same.

Ragveil goes for 25-30g/stack and you can farm 4-5 stacks/hour
Fel Weed goes für 10-15/stack and you will find 1-2 stacks/hour
Dreaming Glory goes for 10g/stack and you will find 1-2 stacks/hour
Flame Caps go for 2-4g, you will find between 5 and 10/hour but sometimes they are difficult to sell (more sunwell raiders on your server -> better price !)
Fel Lotus goes for 40g, you will find about 2-3/hour
Golden Sansam goes for 25g/stack, you will find 2-3 stacks/hour
Dreamfoil goes for 30g+/stack, you will find 2-3 stacks/hour
Blindweed goes for 5-10g/stack, you will find 2-3 stacks/hour
Primal life costs 25g, you will find 2-3/hour
Unidentified Plant Parts can be found, too, they will sell for 50s/piece, you will find about 20-30/hour

if you don´t believe me that you can find that much herbs in just one hour, go there and try it,
there are REALLY many spawn-points in zangarmarsh, sometimes i just fly for 10 seconds till i land again.

my calculator tells me that in the worst case you will make little less than 400g in one hour (i allways farm in the morning, in the afternoon profit will be a bit lower i think)
i just went farming for exactly one hour, and this is what i got (hearthed to shat at once and made the screenshot)

i was very lucky with fel lotus (found two in a row ;D) usually i have 2 or 3
all those herbs will give me about 450g at the auction house.

use cartographer_route to find the best route (i used this addon to give me an optimal route for ragveil, everything else has been be found on this route)

i´m sure i read a very good guide for this addon, but unfortunately i couldn´t find the thread, i would be happy if someone can help.

here are some more hints to maximise your profit.

-look out for Mantikar (Marticar - NPC - World of Warcraft), he´s a rare spawn which can be killed by every lvl 70.
and drops a nice BoE Cloak which can be sold, too (you can actually see it on my screenshot, i got "of the Bandit", my lvl 64 paladin will be very happy about this one.)

-while flying around the areas marked in this map

look out for dead bug lords (they have to be killed for some lowlvl quest) because when gathered they can drop motes of life and many kinds of different herbs.

-if you are an engineer, look out for the clouds you can suck out with your Zapthrottle Mote Extractor - Spell - World of Warcraft, primal water sells for 25-30g on my server

-if you like fishing, you can also look out for special fishing spots, they allways can give some easy gold, too
