Hi guys, this is my first attempt to write a guide, tell me what you think!

This is quite a big guide, I guess every warlock will find some useful info.

    Attention!
This is quite long and detailed guide. I made sure to include info for both beginners and more advanced players. If you are 70, or about to turn it, just scroll through half of the post!

Would be awesome if more members who have lvl 70 raid experience on their class wrote guides to their toons. So, here we go!

(Just mouse over links to get tooltip)
    Warlock, the new beginning.

So, you are either new to WoW, or decided to start new alt. You been looking through the character creation screen, and then you suddenly see a class named Warlock. "What the heck, lets try this dude out" might you say. Behold! Read below and see if the warlock is for you before starting!

    General

The Warlock is a caster type of character, even if we have such ridiculous spells as [item]Major Firestone[/item]. Warlock have three different types of play. I will go through each of them in details bit later, but in basics those styles (Talents) of play are:

    • Affliction- Dotting and Drain Life. Good healing of your self and possibilities to kill several enemies at once.
    • Destruction- Nuking with high damage spells, but being vulnerable.
    • Demonology- Having high survive ability and powerful demon minions, but lesser DPS.

Those are the basic styles of playing a warlock. Remember that even if community's opinion is that Warlock does not requires any skills to play, it is not true. So were in 2006, now in TBC you must pay lot of attention to all possible stuns, interrupts and silence effects.

Warlock have a various selection of Demons to assist him, however if you choose to go Affliction tree, you don't depend on them as much as you do in Demonology.

    -Basic knowledge

Stats. As warlock you are mainly focusing on Stamina. Stamina, stamina and stamina once again. Due to Life Tap you will never be out of mana if you have health. And I must say it is far more beneficial to have much health and less mana, then wise versa.
So for leveling always go after formula for stats: Health > Spell damage > Crit > Intellect.

    -Race?
Five races in WoW can become warlock. Each of them have their own positive sides, so lets go through them all:

    • Orc
Their passive racial Hardiness , is extremely good if you are going to PvP with your warlock. 15% resist to stun effect is a nice bonus in PvP versus rogues and warriors and hunters who are a warlocks main enemies.
Also other racial, Blood Fury which scales with level, is quite nice for PvE, a free trinket every two minute!
    • Undead
Also awesome PvP race with their Will of the Forsaken to remove fear effects on you and become immune for fear next few seconds.
Have also Cannibalize, nice to restore hp fast after a fight.
    • Blood elf
Not so bad choice either, blood elves have Arcane Torrent which helps quite lot to crowd control casters in PvP, and helpful in PvE solo. They can also get some mana back from Mana Tap after using Arcane Torrent, but hey! Who cares about mana, we got lifetap.
    • Human
Well, human might be worst choice for PvP, even with Perception which might help versus rogues and druids, but hey! We got felhunter pet for PvP. Tho passive ability Diplomacy is not that bad for PvE, to be ahead of your guild mates in reputation.
    • Gnome
A lovely race. People who likes to role play, should take closer look. Awesome ability Escape Artist will help you lot in PvP versus all slowing effects, and trust me, you will be slowed!

    -Demons, my little friends
The fun about warlock, is that this is only class who have strong pets with very different abilities.

The biggest pain about demons, that you need [item]Soul Shard[/item] in order to summon them. Actually all except Imp, your first pet. To obtain a soul shard, you must kill an NPC or player that gives you experience or honor with this spell: Drain Soul. This is quite weak spell, so cast it just before the mob or player dies.

Lets take a look at all pets you can have a s warlock. You will gain first pet at level 3, then new pet at each 10 levels (level 10, 20, 30 and so on). To obtain each pet you must complete quite channeling chain of quests, summon your new pet and kill it in order to enslave it for ever.

    Warlock Demons:

The pet quest chains are different for each race, so I just give links to Wowwiki´s guide for each pet. Click on pet name to go to Wowwiki

    • Imp - Level 3
The first pet you will get is imp. Small greenish demon who can buff you and your party with extra stamina, and can shoot fireballs at the enemy. Low health, high regenerating mana.
    • Void Walker - Level 10
The blueberry. Bluish demon, therefore the name, an excellent tank for soloing mobs and elites immune to fear. Also can sacrifice him self for you, grating you a shield that absorbs damage. High health, decent mana.
    • Succubus - Level 20
Female seducer. Can seduce your enemies in combat (Only humanoids) preventing them from moving for 15 seconds. Also can turn invisible. Low mana and low health.
    • Felhunter - Level 30
Dog looking pet, therefore name felpuppy. Exelent PvP pet. Can dispel you or your enemies, also can spell lock your opponents preventing them from casting any spells. High health, decent mana.
    • Felsteed(Mount) - Level 40
Free mount for you at level 40! As soon you turn 40 go to local warlock trainer to get very easy quest for him.
    • Infernal - Level 50
Big rock burning with green fire. One hour colldown to summon him, be he is worth it, hits quite hard on cloth, non fear able. Have aoe damage aura, so be ware, you can aggro neutral mobs. Requires [item]Infernal Stone[/item] in order to summon. Infernal stone can be bought from any reagent vendor.
    • Felguard - Level 50
Ooh that classis "Arcanite ripper, hohooo" yell. Yes! That huge demon is having an arcanite reaper in his right hand! You get this pet only from 41 point talent in demonology. He is quite good tank, can cleave your enemy and stun them. Quite nice PvP pet. High health, decent mana.
    • Doomguard- Level 60
Big bad guy with wings. There are 2 ways to summon him:
One if by casting Ritual of Doom, then 4 other members of your raid / party will have to assist you, and one of you (Yes, yes, even you!) will be sacrificed (dies). Summoned Doomguard need to be Enslaved asap.
Other way is to cast Curse of Doom on any mob (Even critter), and then if the mob will be killed by it (Thats right, not only die while affected of CoD, but dies from its damage) there is 10% chance that a Doom Guard will be summoned. You will have to enslave him asap.
Doom guard is quite powerful, he have Rain of Fire ability, he can aoe stun, and even do cripple, which increase attack speed, or casting speed.
Quite fun pet, but not always worth efforts. High health.
    • Dreadsteed - Level 60
Your epic ground mount! Long quest, but at the end the cost is still lower then for normal skills + mount, special if you can get other warlock assist you who already bough mats for quest.

There you go, all pets that a warlock can have. Chose who you want, for what situation is best. Imp for raids / parties, Void for solo, felhunter or felguard for PvP!

    -Talents, or how to rock
A warlock have three talent trees, those are as stated above: Affliction, Demonology and Destruction.

Lets take a deeper look in each of the trees.

    -Affliction.
Curse and dot them all! This tree have various chose of DoTs (Damage over Time). The tree is very nice for leveling, however I would instead of going full affliction suggest a hybrid between affliction and demonology, which I will link below. There are three things really worth to mention:

    • Siphon Life which together with Drain life can heal you up faster then any healer in some cases.
    • Also affliction gives you instant Howl of Terror which otherwise have 1.5 cast time and not worth casting with 10 mobs beating on you. Mainly affliction is is for player who prefer to have ability to DPS few mobs at the same time, with having dots on several targets at once.
    • And don't forget Night fall. Gives you good boost to your DPS, and it can proc from each tic of Corruption. Sweet thing is that you can have several Corruptions up, which will result with increased chance to get instant shadowbolt

    -Demonology
Aaah sweet demons! This tree is for you who would like to spend your life with your demon and only him. With out your demon you will feel very, very lonely. This tree is based on giving warlock all different kind of buffs while his demon is summoned. There are 2 main things worth to mention:

    • Soul link This spell is guilty in that demonology warlocks are "over powered". Of course! 20% less damage received (Tho your demon takes those 20%, but who cares..) is awesome for PvP, and even for solo.
    • Demonic Sacrifice Very nice spell, which kills your demon, but gives you quite powerful buff. Very good in raids and groups for extra damage done, or in solo for extra health / mana regeneration.

    -Destruction
Only the name it self speaks for it self! Destroy your enemies with biggest crits you have ever seen (Unless they are full season 3, but what ever)! This tree is based on giving your spells with cast time such as Shadow Bolt more crit chance, and more damage! You wont sue any DoTs in this tree, but it is sweet anyway!

For levelling (I will link level 51 builds as example) I have only 2 builds to suggest, but what ever you go, always pick 5 points in Improved Corruption, to have it as instant cast:

    • Hybrid Affliction / Demonology:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
First you start of with affliction and work toward Siphon life. As soon you have it, drop affliction and go for Demonic Sacrifice in Demonology! With your Void sacrificed, and siphon life + drain life you are unkillable! Quest easy, never eat / drink. Awesome build. After 51 and Demon Sacrifice work on with affliction.
    • Demonology:
No link, just get instant corruption, and then work on with demonology. Your pet is tank, just make sure to not over aggro! Boring build, but effective in solo as well.

Done with talents, lets look over the spells you will have as warlock!

    -Spells

There are four main categories of them:

    • Curses:
      -Curse of Agony(COA)
One of your main damage spells as affliction. Starting to hit for little, then does more and more damage.
-Curse of Exhaustion(CoEX)Nice curse to kite around melee classes and mobs.
-Curse of Recklessness(CoR) Intresting Curse.. if the mob you are fearing running to wrong place, place CoR on him, and the fear will get removed! Also nice to prevent mobs to flee from you at low health in instances.
      -Curse of Shadows(CoS)
Boosts shadow and arcane damage. Very nice for raids, tho usually warlocks are trying to get the other one to do it, so you can do CoA and get even more DPS.
-Curse of the Elements(CoE)Boosts fire and frost damage. Very nice for raids, tho usually warlocks are trying to get the other one to do it, so you can do CoA and get even more DPS. If someone wont do eat, mages in your raid will probably eat you alive.
      -Curse of Tounges(CoT)
Increase cast time of any spell. Awesome in PvP to screw up other factions healer heals.
-Curse of Weakness(CoW) Some call it for most useless spell. Not true. Always have it on action bars, if you get jumped on by a hunter, cast this on pet and see pets damage on you drop! Also fun to cast on opposite factions melee classes.
    • DoTs:
      -Curse of Agony(COA)
One of your main damage spells as affliction. Starting to hit for little, then does more and more damage.
-Corruption. Awesome dot that gives you instant Shadow bolts if you are affliction specced.
-Immolate Quite powerful dot if you are Destruction spec, and can be consumed by Conflagrate for additional damage, if you are once again, Destruction spec.
    • Stones:
      - [item]Healthstone[/item] Instantly restores health, doesn't shares cooldown with potions, so quite awesome item.
      - [item]Master Soulstone[/item] When you place this on a raid / party member, they can resurrect after dying. Very useful in instances, SS always the healer
      - [item]Major Spellstone[/item] Very nice for PvP. Removing all magical effects on you. Placed in Wand slot.
      - [item]Major Firestone[/item] Why does this even exist? Better to have a wand.
    • Direct Damage spells:
-Shadow bolt Your main direct damage spell no meter spec. With few points in Destruction you can reduce its cast time, trust me, it is worth it.
-Incinerate Fire response to Shadow bolt. Damage for more if target is afflicted by Immolate.
    • Over powered spells:
-Fear Most debated warlock spell ever. Name speak for it self. Mechanics are broken, it might broke up after first hit, it might last for 10 seconds. Excellent Crowd Control.
      -Deathcoil
Next most debated warlock spell. Can heal you. Can damage your enemies. But what most important is that it forces him to flee in fear for 3 seconds.

    Proffesions

For a warlock, unless you are going for money only (Then pick herbalism and mining) there are three different choices to go:

    • Alchemy & Herbalism
Quite good choice, can make you good money if you know many potions and flasks, also you can pick herbs and sell them to others. You dont need to spend money on potions for raids, and can make awesome Alchemy stone at high skill, which increases HP and Mana received from pots / stones by whole 40% and also gives you 54 spellhit!
    • Tailoring & Enchanting
In my opinion, best choice. There is lot of gear you can make which will serve you long way, also one of your warlock quests involves to get a tailoring robe.
At high skill you can do various epic items with tailoring, with very nice stats. Also excellent money making, to sell crafts of epic gear to other. Also with enchanting you can Disenchant items you get, and then either enchant your own gear or sell enchants to other for quite a good profit.
    • Mining & Engineering
This is for you if you would like to go PvP. With engineering you will be able to create many marvelous items such as pets who will blow your opponent up in the air, and powerful trinkets.. which do the same =)
Also at high skill you can create epic goggles, which are one of the best helms ingame.
    • JewelCrafting & mining
Not best combo, but also gives you good profit for selling gems to other people. On high level you will be able to cut epic gems which you only will be bale to use.

    PvE

So, now we are full of knowledge about warlocks spells and talents, lets speak about how do we actually use them?

In combat, you always want to be as far as possible from opponent, but still in range for your spells.

In PvE, rotations are simple. Just dot the mob, and either drain tank him (Stand still and cast Drain Life over and over on him until he dies, remember to Drain Soul him!) or you DoT mob up and let pet tank him for you!

What the groups wants from a warlock is mainly Crowd Control and Buffs,(Tho we know we are best DPS aswell )
For controlling mobs, you have 4 abilities:

    • Fear. Most powerful, and most dangerous. You can save the group with it, but you can as well wipe them. Never use it on any mob if you see any other mob closer then 50 yards to mob you want to fear. There are no "maybe". Your feared target will always try to act like an ass and run to other mobs and pull them. Be extremely careful, and use fear only after warning group on in extreme situations.
    • Seduction. It needs skill to use, since you need to watch where your pet is, where your target you want to seduce is (Humanoids only) and also watch timers to recast it in time. Always watch mob who just broke up from Seduction, because he will probably go for Succubus and one shot her. Deathcoil or re-Seduce to prevent it.
    • Enslave. Demons are Warlocks home. See any demon? Enslave him. You will not only make it easier for group, but also get nice boost to your DPS, since random demons in instance are often more string then your own pets, and might have funny spells.
    • Banish Works on Demons and Elementals. Banishes them, preventing them from doing anything, but you can´t do anything to them either. Better to have both ranks of Banish out on bars, so you can decide how long banish is needed. Waiting extra 20 seconds for mob to unleash doesn't makes group happy.. Duno why.

Also Group will always beg your for Health stone and Soulstone. It is just to give it to them, since if the wipe will happen and you had SS ready without using it, you are the one to be blamed for healer not being able to resurrect.

Always be on alert in groups with CoR, CC and Stones. But if any mage will bug you off for CoE in 5man, tell him no. But in raids always try to use CoS and CoE no meter what.

That´s it! Now you go level, while I am going over to advanced part of this guide.

    Part two
The soul consuming at it best.

So, now you are 70, and don´t know what to spec, or what to do?
I wont list here all the items worth getting at level 70 before you will join any raids, you Wowhead: If you are reading this, stop pressing F5. and search for stamina, spell hit and spelldamage. But I have few tips to give:

[item]Quagmirran's Eye[/item] Awesome trinket, spellhaste is never wrong, special after 2.4 when it will reduce global cool own as well. Procs fairly often, and also have spelldamage on it. It drops from Quagmirran on normal mode. Just get it!

[item]Evoker's Helmet of Second Sight[/item] This will last you looong way, untill you get yours 25man drops, or until you get [item]Spellstrike Hood[/item] .

Those two items are really good for starting raiding, so get them asap!

Try to get around ~550 spell damage before you enter Karazhan, your first instance by now. Also around 100 spell hit, remember, spell hit is important! There is no use in boom when oom as moonkins says. There is no use in your DPS when you miss. Such places as shadow moon valley have some great quest chains for good pre raid blue gear.

There is a sad fact about warlocks tier four and some tier five gear. Random drops in same instances, or crafted gear is far better.. Only worse by look

Also, don't forget the heroics! You need honored reputation with faction of the instance to enter heroic mode, but it is worth it. In 2.4 there will be added insane Badge loot, tho prices will be high, around 100 badges for a piece of armor.

Other good choice is to go PvP! Get full Gladiator set, except the head, remember you are going for the Helm of Second sight!

    PvE at level 70

    -Talents

Now, no meter how much Demonology fanboys are defending their spec, it is no raid spec. We will talk about Affliction, Destruction, and Hybrids.

I will list specs I think are best for raiding, and tell you about positive sides and negative of each.

    • 41/0/11 Affliction
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

++This spec is quite good to begin with in raiding. Thanks to the 5/5 Suppression
you need lower hit rating, only around 150. And spellhit is really important in PvE. You are nerfing your DPS by 15% if you have lower then 110 spellhit!
Then we have improved Drain soul, which gives mana back from each mob, and spares us some time to lifetap in solo.

Nightfall for instant shadowbolts for boosting DPS up, and one point in Shadow Embrace, only one. It will place additional affliction debuff on target and increase yours Drain life with additional 4%.
Also we have shadow mastery to once again increase our lovely DPS =)
I skip talking about all +damage to dots talents, you know it anyway.

Then we have Destruction, having imp Sbolt up on target wont boost only your DPS up, but also shadow priests DPS (Who eat up the buff really quick). Also we have there reduced cast time on Sbolts and Shadowburn.

      Best PvE rotation:
CoA-UA-Corr-Shadow bolt untill you need renew Coa and rest of dots. Never bother to go UA and CoA on trash, just throw Corr and go bolting.

This spec can also be valid in PvP against normal geared enemies.

--Not as strong constant DPS as Destro. Doesn't have control over DPS, you can´t cancel the dots.

      >Playstyle:
      Dot, bolt repeat
    • 0/21/40 Destruction Sacrifice
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
++This is my favourite spec, and by my opinions best one. Now, before you are going to spec this awesome spec, you must atleast get 180 hit rating. Without it you will miss quite often and it will reduce your DPS. Also gather around 20% crit. Aim at 220 hit rating while you are working on your gear.

Notice, I went Shadow Destruction there, not fire as some people do. To chose fire over shadow is terribly wrong. For the first, the initial cast time of shadowbolt is 3 seconds, with talents it is 2.5 seconds so its damage scales lot better then incinerates damage, which is based on 2.5 second cast.

In 2.4 Fire will get a boost. Emberstorm will reduce cast time of incinerate by 10%. But in my opinion shadow is still much better scaling then fire, and there also is more gear for shadow nether fire for warlocks. So give shadow a try, I promise you 7k crits with Karazhan and badge loot (Raid buffed)

Also, no meter how much the tanks whines, you sacrifice your pet, in this case succubus for additional 20% shadow damage.

--In this spec you are running out of mana quite fast, and have lesser abilities to heal your self, since drain life is easy interrupt able and you dont have any other healing ability except deahtcoil.
Also big minus that this spec looses in its DPS if you have to move around lot under boss fight. You don't have much time to stand still and spam Bolts.
      Impossible to PvP with.

      >Playstyle:
Applying first CoS, then Immolate, since in destruction spec you can over aggro tank, if you get crit on your first bolt. Then just keep on with bolts, and call for heals when you going to lifetap.
    • 5/45/11 Demonology
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Not as strong as other two builds, but I have seen tier 4 warlocks with 1.5-1.6k shadow damage raid buffed. Your play style here depends on your demon. Make sure to have him fully buffed (To be able to buff the imp, take him out of phase shift) since more stats the demon have, more spelldamage you gain from him.

      >Playstyle:
Weak copy of Affliction, with only difference by much bigger spell damage.
Apply CoA, Corr, and bolt till you need renew the dots.

    -Stats
In PvE end game raiding, you should always go after this formula as Affliction:
Spell damage > Hit > Crit > Health
Even if your main focus is spell damage, don't forget about hit. Never go below 150 in progress of boosting your spell damage or hit (Now I mean when you are already geared, not while gearing up).

However, if you are destro, you should go after another formula:
    Hit > Crit > Spell damage >Health
Hit is most important in Destruction. You don't want to miss a 2.5 cast time. While in affliction even if you miss, there are dots ticking in background, in destruction it is just to begin cast over again. However, you should not go below 800 shadow damage while hunting crit and hit.

    Rating vs ratio rates:
22.1 crit rating is 1% crit
15.77 haste rating is 1% extra casting speed (Also will reduce global cooldown after 2.4)
12.6 hit rating is 1% hit

    -Getting started
As for lower levels what the raid waits from you is debuffing and buffing. make sure to always keep curses on, and if you have any other user off shadow magic in the raid like shadow priest, always go CoS. It will benefit you both.

Have always keybidings to Fear, Enslave and Banish.

Don't be retarded. Trust me, worse then a retarded warlock in karazhan can only be a retarded priest. Watch your banish, and start casting banish 1 second before mob is going to release. Never make group waiting for long time on a banish. It is better to not rebanish and call out on Vent / Team Speak to tank to grab it, then waiting 30 seconds till banish is over.

Think about to survive. There are many mobs in Karazhan who can one shot you as soon they get close to you. Dont over DPS just to show off on damage meters. Infact, I would suggest turn off damage meters for trash.

After this guide is posted I will make a Karazhan, Gruul and SSC / TK guide for warlocks. There you can see your job for each of the bosses in those instances.

    -Addons
I will add addons not only needed for you as warlock, but also those which are needed for raiding.

    -DoTimer
DoTimer | World of Warcraft Addons | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com
Keeps tracking on all your DoTs, fear, banish and all other spells. Also displays cooldowns.

    -Deadly Boss Mods
Deadly Boss Mods | World of Warcraft Addons | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com
Displays every boss phase, so you know when to turn and when to DPS. A must for every raid.

    -Nature Enemy Castbar
Natur EnemyCastBar | World of Warcraft Addons | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com
Displays others cooldowns, respawn timers, duration on other factions buffs such as iceblock an so on.

    -SwStats
SW Stats | World of Warcraft Addons | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com
    Damage meter

    -Omen Threat meter.
Omen Threat Meter | World of Warcraft Addons | World of Warcraft @ Curse.com
Make sure you are below the tank on the threat, else next minute you will be discussing your DPS issues with Spirit healer.

    -Macros

    -Destroying annoying totems in PvP:
    /petattack
    /petattack [target=Fire Resistance Totem]
    /petattack [target=Windfury Totem]
    /petattack [target=Earthbind Totem]
    /petattack [target=Tremor Totem]
    /petattack [target=Grounding Totem]

    -Lazy grinding:
    /petattack [nomodifier]
/castsequence [nomodifier] reset=target/combat Corruption, Curse of Agony, Immolate, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt, Shoot
    /cast [modifier:alt] Drain Soul

(This will cast all those spells after you press one button, and then cast Drain Soul if you press same button again while holding down alt)

    -Destroy shards:
    /stopcasting
/script if GetContainerNumSlots(4)==GetInventoryItemCount("player",23) then PickupContainerItem(4,1); local a,b,c=GetCursorInfo(); if a=="item" and b==6265 then DeleteCursorItem(); else ClearCursor(); end; end
    /cast Drain Soul(Rank 1)

(This will destroy all extra shards you are getting after drain soul, if you already have more then 23.)

This is it! I have not added PvP guide, since there is already one on the forums, but if you want, I can do it. Now go and spread fear between your enemies!

    Best PvE rotation:
CoA-UA-Corr-Shadow bolt untill you need renew Coa and rest of dots. Never bother to go UA and CoA on trash, just throw Corr and go bolting
You don't use CoA on bosses, you use cos, coe, cor

Notice, I went Shadow Destruction there, not fire as some people do. To chose fire over shadow is terribly wrong.
You are a smart person, most n44bs want to go fire & ruin the raid's dps :<

Also, no meter how much the tanks whines, you sacrifice your pet, in this case succubus for additional 20% shadow damage.
This is wrong, if you're on a new & hard boss and the tank needs some extra health it's better to give him your imp.

It's always better to down a boss with an imp, then not down a boss with a dead succubus.

    >Playstyle:
Applying first CoS, then Immolate, since in destruction spec you can over aggro tank, if you get crit on your first bolt. Then just keep on with bolts, and call for heals when you going to lifetap.
If you're going to use immolate, you NEED 5/5 immolate in ur destro build, other wise don't use it.

You also have nether protection in ur estro spec, big mistake, just in case you have to tank leo/illidan/ any other fire/shadow boss you'll wipe the raid.

Other than that you're guide is nice for new warlocks, +rep from me

This were written before haste buff to Incinirate, it could be considered now for raids tho. But I still prefer shadow, better scalling.

Totally agreed, but I am talking about farm bosses, on new ofcourse you should go all out. But tanks always whine for extra HP even on farm bosses

If you're going to use immolate, you NEED 5/5 immolate in ur destro build, other wise don't use it.
    Agree there

Yes! But mate, this aint tank build. If you are going for tank build, you should also choose imp searing pain and skip Nether ofc. This was ment as DPS build

Thank you for the rep and for your comments

    Also gather around 20% crit.
20% crit used to be the minimum, now u can go with 17% if u find it hard to get 20% without losing a significant amount of other stats.

backlash gives 3% crit now also

i noticed a few mistakes here and there. for destro it should be spell hit, spell dmg, then crit. you want about 1200 spell dmg and 202 hit before you really try and get high crit. people above have stated that you dont want nether prot, i liker to take it in my spec but thats because im not tanking leo =p theres a warlock spec thats just for tanking. other than that you did pretty good ^^

p.s also as aff you want to cast all your DoTs including immo and all that..only do cos if your specd for mal

Ty for feedbacks, agree that hit is more important then crit on destro, but you really dont need to hav 1.2k damage before going for crit, I would say you can work on crit already from 1k-1.1k

lol mate, you dont respec every time your going to kill illidan -_-
that would be like 90g every week for shit...
and also in my guild it wasnt always the same warlock tanking, it all depends on who's coming to the raid..
