[Anti-Scam Paypal] Blocking and Preventing Paypal Disputes/Chargebacks

Ok, so we all know about how people buy accounts with paypal and just recover the money days later, right?

Here is a little guide im writing up to show you how to prevent this.

There are two methods to do this:

    1) Paypal funded by bank or Paypal funds
    2) Credit card funded.

    For method one:
If the person who sends you the cash does this method, the money is SAFE and irrevocable!

    However, for method two:
If the person who sends you the money using a credit card files a chargeback with his/her credit card company, the money can be recovered, or using a different IP (or a proxy) and claiming unauthorized transaction.

    How to prevent this?

Don't accept credit card funded paypal and set your account to block credit funded transactions. If your account is basic and not premier, you can't accept credit cards.

To see if they can file a chargeback, it will say "Eligible" under their status.

    For method two:
Just state that you will NOT accept credit funded payments on your trade post! *EDIT*** MAKING A BASIC PAYPAL (Not premier or business) MAKES YOUR ACCOUNT AUTOMATICALLY DECLINE CREDIT CARDS!

Steps on how to make your Paypal sale final and irrevocable!
    1) Buyer sends cash
    2) Have buyer file claim
    3) Buyer claims item dispute
    4) Cancel claim

Fwaky...to answer your question, you can do whatever you like. This makes the money as irrevocable as possible through Paypal (as long as you know the buyer did not pay with Credit and payed with bank funded or Paypal funds, etc.)

am I the only one here a bit confused?

what exactly does this do? I understand you say it will stop them from filing to get the money back but only the buyer can file a dispute right? Your steps say to have the buyer file then cancel it. Won't they wonder why you want that to happen? Seems fishy if someone was to ask me to do that. I know you can only file a dispute once per item but if their intent was to dispute from the start how is this going to work?
