[45+] Tanaris Gold/Grinding Guide

Want an easy way to make money? Broke at level 45 after buying your mount? Well my friend and I found one of the best ways to farm gold without using your professions. First you want to head out to Tanaris, here is an easy way to get to Tanaris.

1. Get to Booty Bay
2. Take the boat to Ratchet
3. From Ratchet head South into Thousand Needles
4. Run south into Shimmering Flats
5. Run straight into Tanaris (and pick up the trinket quest if you can for zf!)

After you get to Tanaris, head kind of southeast to the "Lost Rigger Cove"

Now when you get down there you will see 3 or 4 Different mob types
Southsea Freebooter
Southsea Swashbuckler
Southsea Pirate

Next step is to get to grinding

Most of these mobs will drop vendor trash and occasionally a thing called
Pirate's Footlocker will drop. This is what we want.

Ok now what you want to do is open the Pirate's Footlocker, and what you want to look for is Lower Map Fragment, Middle Map Fragment, and Upper Map Fragment, once you have all three you right click on any piece to join all 3 of the map pieces into a map, which consequently begins a quest. So join them together and take the quest called "

Now go to the Southern Part of Tan, you will see Land's End Beach.
On the Beach, there are a lot of turtles...skip them.
Walk along the cliff side, you will find a triggerable Inconspicous Landmark(it's actually a broken flag), do it when you are ready to fight 5 lev 44~45 normal mob. After this loot all of them until you find Cuergo's Key, open the lockbox and low and behold some good items. Sometimes a blue, sometimes a green, sometimes 2 or 3. You can repeat this quest and many times as you like, also the pirates footlockers have a good chance to drop "Whit's Third Leg". Me a 47 Draenei Shaman, and my friend a 64 Dwarf Hunter, over this past weekend collected a bunch of greens, blues, and whit's third legs.

Now for the last part of this guide, sometimes the Pirate's Footlockers will drop something called "Captains Key". This is what you will do with the Captains Key. This is a unique item, you can only have one in your inventory but you can have as many pirate's footlockers with the key in the footlockers. Ok so how do you use it? The chest to use the key on is on the furthst ship from shore. In the captain's quarters, make two rights when descending the first staircase and it's right in front of you down the hall...now open the chest and claim your prize!

I really hope this has helped some of you poor people who want a good grinding spot and a good spot to make gold.
