Hi,

I have been looking at talent builds, one thing that they do not tell you is the order points are used for level. If i were to look at say a mage solo build, it dosent tell you what level to use the point.

Am i missing something? If not, can someone kindly let me know what level to use each point for the best solo mage build.

you are missing yout skill to calculate 1 point= 1 level, ice=mage solo

And the talent points are about be crazy, because of the BC patch that's being put in right now (which is completely exciting). Watch out if you're a warrior though... we got nerfed... hardcore.

Because paladins will be the key to winning arena battles. If you ever go up against my team in the arena you'll understand.

I shouldn't be answering this since its a Q but w/e for soloing mage I would personally suggest ice tho i've never played fire while leveling ice is good for kiteing and mass aoeing especially helpful for farming for that one ingreediant for some apacarthy's potion or another damned quest you need drops for but I digress I would put my points in this order ***note sorry for long post***

1:5/5 in improved frostbolt
2:2/2 imp frost nova
3:3/3 frostbite-some may argue me on that particular choice when aoeing is tatic of choice and mobs hit you and freeze h/o it helps greatly and I like it if not you can put them in imp blizzard and aoe farm that way
4:1/1 in coldsnap..worthless in low levels *my opinion* invaluable once you get ice block especially in bgs and aoe farming occasionally
5:3/3 pts in permafrost some may argue its worthless but every point counts I feel..hell I even get speed to boots every new pair I get to enchance my kiting speed but that my choice
6:1/5 ice shards..enhance dmg and need one more point to move to next row so that was my choice..I go back and fill it later but for now that all u need
7:5/5 shatter...pretty much only damn reason to go ice uber crits all the time=fun!
8:1/1 ice block yay yet another fun thing only ice mages can do..stop fall dmg right timing can save your ass in bgs..extremely low mana cost it even helps if your out of mana for that extra 300 or just to get your head in the game and pop a mana pot once unfrozen
9:2/2 arctic reach think of it like this..further you start attacking from more casting time you have more dmg you do less kiting you need to do
10:3/5 ice shards just add two more to move it along
11:2/2 ice floes not really helpful too much but I find myself dying from warlocks dots because I have a few seconds more till I can re ice barrier =/
12:5/5 ice shards just top it off
13:1/3 piercing ice to move to next row
14:1/1 ice barrier...if nothing else the reason to go ice its Power Word Shield on self and really helps you since mages are so damn squishy
15:3/3 piercing ice add two more
16: ok heres the part when I couldnt decide what to spend two more pts in so I just decided to save some mana in frost channeling 2/3 but u may want to go with blizzard perhaps up to you there
17:5/5 empowered frostbolt hover it and tell me it doesnt make you drool! ;P
18:summon water elemental 1/1 DUH! pets FTW
19:5/5 improved arcane missles (I feel its useless but its to move to next level in arcane)
20:5/5 arcane concentration...love it sooo much but you can go fire for those last 10 I personally love clearcast tho so happy soloing and once again sorry for taking up half the damn page plz dont take this down even tho its a Q page since I took like 20 min looking up my guys damn talents /sigh ah well hopefully this will help you
