Farming Primal Water while afk

What can I get?

So, with the new patch came a new place to fish. In The Isle of Quel'Danas coastal water, which means places without pools of fish, you can actually fish out Mote of Water.

The chance to get a mote of water is rather low, 2% with the current sample, and you will need rather high fishing for this to become effective since you need at least 355 to fish, and 450 for the fish to never get away.



So, how do I go on about getting profit from this?

What you need is a fishbot, for example Iwana, created by Ziao, that can be found here: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-p...fishbuddy.html

Since the drop rate of motes are so low, you will quickly fill your bags with fish that you don't want, to remove this problem you will need a starting base of as many motes as you want primals. Divide the motes to different slots in your bags, this will prevent fish from taking up those spots, and thus you will only catch the motes.

Finally, find a spot on Quel'Danas where you won't get disturbed by mobs or the opposing faction and start fishing. Now all you need to do is go to sleep or whatever you wish, and when you come back you can reap the profit from those freshly fished primal water.

Granted, this will not return a big profit with the low drop rate that it is, but it's primal farming while AFK, so hey, better than nothing, eh? =)

You could also use the addon Loot Filter to remove the fish you don't want, that way any good selling fish or other random drops(chests, pots, whatever) it'll keep.

Guides using programs are still guides. At least that's the reason I used. I might be wrong?

This is nice stuff. I believe I read about a program that will only loot what fish you want it to on the bots board. You might want to include that in your guide, however I like your own clever solution.

This is old info. Mote of water don't drop there anymore unless Im extremely unlucky. I ran a bot for 8 hours and got not 1 mote. I DID however get some eternium and khorium from bloated sungills (set up lootfilter to auto open em). This was not nearly as profitable as darters.

But perhaps you want some primals and don't want to go AH farming =) And it's not about being the best possible way to make money (even when being AFK). As I said in the guide, it's not a whopping amount you'll get, but at least you don't have to put up an effort in doing it.

Remember, you can tweak the guide to your own preference, perhaps you rather use it for fishing golden darters. I'm only offering one solution out of many.
