Athene's method ! (Retopic for the noobs)

So, I decided to live by the code "Pull big or go home"....

Yeah, I guess this will work.....you'll probably also notice that since my last post, I'm now 43, a level and a half from where I was, which includes afks, posting here, and so on.

Someone should probably move this, before they hotfix it tomorrow

Ok well - what we did was using a prot pally with ZA/Tier5 ~ gear .. If he walks backwards when pulling he blocks almost everything and its not to hard. Athene used a holy paladin so he could just spam heal himself, but yeah he has full tier6.. just do whatever you think is best

im wondering though how you do that holy nova trick with the priest? as far as i know holy nova does not give threat so the mobs will all go for you correct?

Yeah, my pally isn't close to geared as well as either of those. He can pull walking backwards well enough, but the trouble is getting him to take down 80% of the mobs health BEFORE the mage gets booted out of the instance. He just isn't geared well enough to do it, unfortunately. What I've thought about doing is use all 3...have the pally pull, the priest leave group when he gets to the entrance, have the mage aoe 1 time, have the paladin leave the zone, and see how that works out, provided the pally does NO damage.

Regarding Holy Nova, the priest just hits me with Renews and regular heals while I aoe on the mage, so he builds enough threat that way.

So, I'm averaging about 2 levels an hour...think I'm gonna have to head to somewhere else now though. Debating between BRD, sunken temple, Mara, DM, or maybe scholo/strath...

I thought about making a quick video showing clearly how to do it (or what I have learned so far), but I'm not sure anyone would be interested

so this goes like, my paladin pulls mobs ( How i keep alive when i pull these mobs ? ) then mage leaves group and i do some dmg to mobs ( and how i stay alive now :P ? ) then i run out of instance and mage kills all mobs ?
