Most of these Gems will be Found in PROSPECTING FEL IRON! thats right i want you to forget about Adamantite It worthless now lets take a look why
3 stacks of fel iron ore prospected out gives 12xgrey dust = 1.8 gold (.15 x 12)
I usually get one or 2 blue gems (abotu the same as one stack of adamantite)
and i get lots of green gems, which is where my idea comes full circle you will need to rely on the procs of fel iron uncommon games and 1.8% chance blue gems
Fel Iron Ore!!! This is going to be HUGE! business.
Its about 5-10 gold a stack on my server, and abotu 25-30 for adamantite ore. So lets say thats a basic 3:1 ratio. I can get 3 stack of fel iron for every stack of adamantite I would have bought.
now comes in the Brilliant Glass, which takes 3 of each of the green class gems, and gives one random blue gem (DEAR GOD NO TALASITES LEL). Lets run the numbers here. Lets assume each prospect of fel iron ore yields 1.5 green gems (remember were not complaining if we get a blue ) a stack of 20 gets you @6, and three stacks @18. You need 3x6 (1

to make brilliant glass, but the chances of getting all the gems needed at once is very unlikly. but WoW is about percents and averages so i t coud happen
Even now you can start buying the green uncut gems from the AH!
So in conclsion here are my trials
Talasite: 37
Nightseye: 62
Living Ruby: 59
Dawnstone: 65
Star of Elune: 32
Nobal Topaz: 55
using the price of my server and multipying we get
Talasite: 7 gold x 37 = 301 gold
Nightseye: 35 gold x 62 = 1890 gold
Living Ruby: 60 gold x 59 = 3540 gold
Dawnstone: 20 gold x 65 = 1220 gold
Star of Elune: 35 gold x 32 = 1225 gold
Nobal Topaz: 40 gold x 55 = 1920 gold
Total = 10396 gold OVER NINETHOUSAND LEL
