The Rogue Macros

Saw a few rogue macro threads, but all of them only had a couple macros. I just thought I would add my 2 cents and make a list of different macros i use. Remember to add the accurate (rank ?) to the skills in each macro depending on your personal skill rank. Example-> /cast Sinister Strike(rank5)

Hemo/Ghostly juggle
/castrandom Hemorrhage, Ghostly Strike
/startattack
This will randomly cast either Hemo or GS. Will only cast Hemo when GS is on CD

Auto Throw
/startattack
/cast Deadly Throw
/cast Throw
This will Deadly Throw if you have combo points to use, otherwise it will just auto throw

Vanish
#show Vanish
/cast Vanish
/stopattack
Sometimes autoattack will take you out of a vanish. This prevents it

#showtooltip Blind
/stopcasting
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Blind
Casts blind on next mouseover target without dropping current target

Premed + CS
#show Cheap Shot
/cast Premeditation
/cast Cheap Shot
Casts Premed followed by Cheap Shot with one button press. If Premed is on CD it will still cast Cheap Shot.

Premed + Garrote
#show Garrote
/cast Premeditation
/cast Garrote
Same as above, just switched CS for Garrote

Sap
#show sap
/cleartarget
/targetenemy
/cast sap
Sap wont auto-target like CS. This will. No more having to spam tab + sap

CoolDowns
#show Sprint
/cast Sprint
/cast Evasion
/cast Berserking
/cast Adrenaline Rush
/cast Blade Flurry
/cast Preparation
/use 13
/use 14
/startattack
1 button to cast everything in your arsenal if you wish. You can break this macro up to pair up any CD's you wish, including trinkets(top trinket is 13, bottom is 14).
For example, I use this macro after my opener for quick pressure

/cast Berserking
This casts my bloodlust broach (278 AP 20 secs) followed by my racial Berserking (attack speed increased by 10%-30%)

Uber Cold Blood Finisher
#show Cold Blood
/use 13 (my bloodlust broach)
/cast Cold Blood
/cast Eviscerate
This will cast a trinket, then CB, then Eviscerate. You can take out the trinket line, and switch Eviscerate with envenom if you wish.

Lol ya i just wanted to show that you can make a 1 button for any number of CD's.

I use a mouse with five buttons, L, R, middle and forward(side) backwards(side) and have found the following macros very useful for accomplishing almost any thing i need to do from my mouse, these can of course be used without the mouse just put them wherever you put your normal moves (depending on which macro it is)

Macro 1

In stealth
Will cheapshot

Out of Stealth
rotation of ghostly strike (or any other attack with a cooldown) and sinister strike

/castsequence reset=20/ [nostealth, combat] Sinister Strike(Rank 6), Ghostly Strike, Sinister Strike(Rank 6), Sinister Strike(Rank 6), Sinister Strike(Rank 6), Sinister Strike(Rank 6), Sinister Strike(Rank 6)
/cast [stealth, nocombat] Cheap Shot

Macro 2

In stealth
Sap

Out of stealth
Hemo

/cast [stealth, nocombat] Sap(Rank 2)
/cast [nostealth, combat] Hemorrhage(Rank 1)

Macro 3

In stealth
premeditation

Out of stealth
In combat-kick
out of combat-stealth

/cast [nocombat, nostealth] Stealth(Rank 3)
/cast [nocombat, stealth] Premeditation
/cast [combat, nostealth] Kick(Rank 2)


nothing crazy or super creative here but just a general approach to combining certain functions into one button that I have found to make playing my rogue go very smoothly.

Please let me know if you like them and if you have any suggestions for more or for changes to these.

For what it's worth, you don't have to add spell ranks. The macro UI will default to the highest rank if you don't specify. Additionally, rogues don't have multiple ranks of spells anyway.

This one is ok, but since Hemo costs less energy than Ghostly Strike, if you spam it, Ghostly won't fire every cooldown as intended. You can also run into streaks where GS is on cooldown and the game will try to cast it repeatedly and fail, allowing energy to tick up or your foe to get a heal.

This macro will not one-touch activate everything. It will only cast the abilities that are not on the GCD.

GCD: AR, Blade Flurry.
Non-GCD: Evasion, Sprint, Berserking

I do use the following Prep macro to clean up any unused cooldowns before I prep:

/cast [nostealth] Evasion
/cast Preparation

Note that it will not break stealth by casting Evasion if you are stealthed. Prep activates the GCD and so cannot be used in conjuction with Vanish.
