Making an addon, need some LUA help

Basically, i got the whole watch chat for phrases and then triggering off them down, but I was wondering if theres any form of a modifier to watch for an all caps version as opposed to normally typed versions.

There are upper and lower case functions

Also I think " string.upper "works in lua but no idea if wow supports it.
