lost account info

Hi all,

2 years or so back i stopped playing and have since lost original copies of wow and tbc. I've been receiving emails here and there about blizzard thinking my account is being sold or traded andpasswords changing, etc but i always assumed these emails were scams.

Recently some friends began playing and I decided to see if i could access my old account to join them. I can't recall the password and the secret question doesnt seem to be correct.

I'm running under the assumption that the account has been hacked at some stage. Given that I don't have the password, SQA, CD keys, am I able to get the account back? If not its no big deal, wow and TBC arent too expensive anymore but it would be nice to get the account back. Info i have is ownership of the original email address linked to the account and all of my personal details, ID, and original credit card info.

You should be able to get it back by sending them a scanned picture of your ID IIRC.

Dunno if you're EU or US, but use this link, and choose "World of Warcraft" in the first dropdown, then "Account Security / Compromised / Hacked" in the second, and fill out the form. (with an ID linked ofc.)
You don't have to fill out the CD-Key and SQA since you're linking an ID.

Thanks for the rapid response Zoigberg. I'm Australian. which is oceanic i suppose. will try US.

Also 'world of warcraft' and then 'account security' just provides a link to account recovery process, which doesn't
help as i havent lost security to my battle.net account, just a 2 year old wow account :/

The guide I wrote is based on the EU link, seems like it's different from EU and US.
