People are going to court each and every day about Game Accounts getting phised. Note: Game Accounts are worth MONEY.

Also: Phising is Phising. Why would you say you can't get in trouble? Sure, Selling WOW Gold isn't a big deal, but you're getting it by Phising. There is a minimal fee of $1000 Dollars and Few months Jail time (minimal) for Phising.

Use a Proxy or prepare for something bad sometime in the future.

You should be perfectly fine scamming in game without a proxy not sure about phishing as its defo illegal and can get you into some trouble but scamming in game with no proxy is ok.

But to be on the safe side use a proxy when phishing.

you should be fine i do the same, the fact is most of the people that fall for your phisher mightnt even know about ips etc.. - and they wouldnt report you.

So I am wondering where everyone is getting their proxy IP's from. The set I got from some Chinese site is extremely laggy and dc's me every 20 seconds. I tried ProxyCap and Proxyfier but cannot find a proxy server which allows me to either connect or stay on long enough to actually do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In more detail, most of the proxies I tried when tested fail at sending packets to google or WoW in proxifier.

hide my ip is a great one. you have to pay for it though. still one good TGC scam can pay for it, its only $30 us. It can also block your ip from some games (not wow though.) Web based proxies are good too. They're better than nothing.

Like I said... they are government obliged. Even if you do use a proxy, your government authorities will still catch you.

So I'm having a hard time believing that Federal Authorities will really take the time out of their days to prosecute game phishers which don't actually cause any tangible damage to the economy. I mean, I understand that CC phishers are prosecuted - but a WoW phisher? IF they have the time for that I want a refund on my taxes...

I've made over $3,500 from phishing gold and selling it.... clearly that's alot of gold.


I don't use a proxy - Just phish accounts and sell the gold, you'll be ok.
