How to do the TCG scam correctly? PICTURES INSIDE!

Apparently they've been cracking down on the TCG scam lately..

But here's how I do it.

1. Get gold
2. log into my main in a second WoW
3. meet myself and trade the gold to my main account
4. (extra step, probably not necessary) put the gold in my personal guild bank that I use for my gliding alts.
5. Logout and delete the scam character
6. Make a character with same name and race as the scamming character
7. Go into the wow folder > WTF > account > (scam account)
8. Delete the scam characters folder.

9. Hope you dont get caught!!
10. If #9 goes well, have fun being rich

Step 5 and 6 don't fool the GMs. All logs are stored by character IDs (like GUIDS in MaNGOS) and not by character name. Deleting and remaking a character is like doing NOTHING, since all previous logs will remain stored.

Step 7 and 8 are completely useless since GMs can't see your configuration (client side) folder.

There's no way in gods name you can be 100% safe from the banhammer as they call it. There is on the other hand ways to minimize the chance you being banned.

First of all you should use a scammed account for the scam it self, I belive that's what you did, I'm just making sure. When you've got the gold there's diffrent methods of trading gold depending how many accounts you own. Now I havn't been scaming gold for along time but I see that the character delete and creation is still in action so here's what you've got to chose from:

Depending on how many accounts you have like mentioned not long ago you can transfer the gold around to a few diffrent accounts therefor making it harder to trace even tho if Blizzard wants to track the gold they will succsede no matter what you do. Diffrent ways of transfering gold is through a Trade Window, Auction House and Mail now understanding what's safest is pretty simple. If you Trade or Mail something it's not likely you'll fail but if you auction something there's a chance someone else buying the item which wasn't ment for him.

Even through someone buying a 1c item for 400g isn't very likely it's still the better shot. What I did when scamming also using the TCG Scam was the find people whos trust I could gain long enough to make the logs abit more fuzzy for the GM Investigator when reported. It's pretty simple, foreplay makes perfect. If you gain someones trust he'll end up waiting for you, I usually got my victims waiting 1-2 days even tho they were pretty sure they got scammed they waited because I gained some of their trust before the scam took place.

Anyway all the talking about recreateing characters and deleting folders is just a waste of time if you ask me. They'll get to you even tho you made 10 diffrent characters with the same name. Your best hope is to find the people that'll trust you enough to wait a few days or even not care when they get scammed. And when transfering gold use Auction House or possible trade window. Make it look like you're not giving everything to one character. Spread out alittle gold in Ironforge to the cool guys or what ever.
