Guild Bank Scam: How to do your homework

You have all heard about the Guild Scam, where you impersonate a high-ranked guild member to gain access to the guild bank.
This however, is hard to do successfully, since most times you either get caught, or you tell them you are who you are not. This way you can gather the info you want, and be successful at this scam.

Requirements:

- Some friends that are willing to help in your scam
- 110-260g
- Social Skills

Part One:

1. On an alt, create a new guild. Name it whatever you want
2. Get some people in it, tell your friends to make alts and join in
3. Buy one/two tabs on it
4. Tell your friends to donate some money (1-2g) and put some items in the bank

Part Two:

1. Find some guilds you want to scam
2. Write down the high-ranked members

3. Create a character named "Inquiryone" and have your friends create as many "Inquiry#" as you have them (For example, if you have 3 friends helping you, tell them to make characters named "Inquirytwo", "Inquirythree", "Inquiryfour")

4. Copy this text and give it to your friends:
1) "Hello. I'm sorry to disturb your gameplay, but I'm conducting an inquiry about the WoW players. Could you spare a moment please?"
if he says yes, proceed to 2) if he says no, move along
2) "I'll be asking you some questions, it should take just a moment. This is purely voluntary, you don't have to answer if you don't want to."

- Since how long have you been playing WoW?
- How do you pay for WoW? (Credit Card or Gamecard)
- How many characters do you have?
- Which ones are level 70?
- Do you have any bank alts? If yes, how many?
- How much do you play each day?
- How often do you play?
- Do you have any character on other servers? If yes, which server?
- How do you name your characters?
- Do you know anyone in WoW in real life?
- Do you know anyone from your guild in real life?
- Do you get along well with your Guild mates?
- How much gold do you have?
- How often do you use the Auction House?
- Have you ever donated items/gold to the Guild Bank?
- Finally, could you tell me your characters name, class, race and level? I'm requesting this to compare the name to the race and class of the character. No names will be released, don't worry

Assign a guild to two of your friends, and if someone asks why you are doing this, say that you are making a study about WoW players for school, and that you have some friends helping you out.

5. Keep asking the guild members and some random people in the city
6. Save all the information you get on the guilds you are interested
7. Do this for 2-3 days
8. Pick a target (pick someone who gave you almost all the info, mainly the characters names)
9. Create a new character that has his name in it, and add something like engibank/clothbank/enchatbank/ahbank/auctionbank make up your own combination
9.1 Get some cloth or gold
10. Add all the known guy's alts to your friend's list
11. Wait until they are offline, and whisper a guy (pick someone thats not a RL friend) to invite you, say: "Hey, invite have some stuff to put on the guild bank"
12. When they invite you, ask them for access to guild bank, always in whispers
13. Have a friend that is in the guild near the guild bank
14. Take out what you can, and put in the cloth/gold
15. Trade your friend the stolen goods, and tell him to put all of it in your guild bank
16. Clean the characters (delete, create a new one with the same name, kill some stuff and level up)
17. Now, STAY LOW, you and your friends, don't log in with the characters used for the scam for awhile and don't access the guild bank!


FAQ:
Q: Why did you add the inquiry part?
A: That way, you can gather info on the targets, and not making it look suspicious. The friends are there to help you with that, if the scamees ask around if anyone else is getting questioned, they will find lots of people saying "yes"

Q:Why WIM
A: It helps you organize the messages, and it stores them

Q: Why making a guild?
A: Since the guild bank is available to a group of people, the GMs are less likely to go get gold/items from it. Also is easier to transfer the gold/items with it

Q: Why did you put some parts in red?
A: Those are the parts you need to lookout for, since they have the info you need

its very hard to get banned if you dont say "oh, im guy X" if you just say: "invite me, give me access" its their own fault the guild bank got cleaned out
