Sell stuff quick on AH

First off, if this is a repost I apologize. This is what I do when I have a BOE I'm looking to sell quick.

-Mail the item you're trying to sell to an alt and post it on the AH.
-Go on your main and in trade chat say WTB name of item for about 20 or 30g more than you posted
Usually someone looking to make a quick 20ish gold will buy it out and try to sell it to you. When they whisper you just say you changed your mind and pick up the gold from your alt.

I dont know what server u play on but i play on khadgar and the ppl on my server must b too nice lol. I have tried this scam multiple times and it has not worked once every time i try it someone whispers me saying u know its on the ah for less gold then u want it for right? and then if i keep posting about it in general or trade they figure out what im trying to do because i refuse to buy it for the cheaper price after i was alerted to it on the ah. is there a way to avoid this or something? otherwise this scam is horrible.
