I made a char, and sent the gold to myself. This scam is pure gold; literally.

Tips on being successful:
1 - If you have two people asking, and one is a 60 and the other is around 40, be sure to sell to the lower level, normally they are more guillible.
2 - I wouldn't recommend using a Glowing Brightwood or Krol Blade, because selling those usually means selling to more experienced players.
3 - Make sure that in the title of your mail message you put the name of the item in question, such as -

this is how mine went;

1. made a nightelf druid and named him with slots full, so that people wouldn't remember my name easily.

2. walk to darnassus, yo want to be at darnassus, because less people are there and it makes the COD idea more reasable to people, when they are in IF.

3. I linked a Dwarven Hand Cannon in /trade and instantly got a wisper

4. I sounded very convincing and said i'd sell it to him for 200g

5. I COD'd and then he went off to MC, i waited for him to get out of MC, and once he did(6 hours later) he went to bed...*sigh*

6. I went to school the next morning and came back, with 2 mails from him. One: 200g and Two: a message threatening me that he will report me and he is giving me a 24 hour notice.

7. I disapointedly sent the gold back and thought of something more to tip off the next time I try this.

Same thing but make sure he is staying on so that once he opens up you are looking at the gold from the COD, send it to your main, log off immediately and delete the charactor...If he doesn't SS or remember your charactor name he probly wont think he has enough information to report you. Also the mail that will disapear in 3 days you sent him will say it's from Unknown, I think. I would hope to get feedback on this idea.

also on the side note of this Blizzard has a log of the IP of everyone that plays and can find out even if your char is deleted, what account it is on. This is what i'm hearing.

1. Only scam people that sound young and innocent
2. Make sure to literrally tell them your gonna wrap it up. Then watch their responce. ie:

Me: "Lol! I wrapped it up for you! Enjoy"
Moron: "Omg lol! thats so cute..."

3. I would spend the money as quick as possible.

4. Scam all your gonna scam in a short period of time, because the
po pos will ussually wait a while before they scam you. ie:

Scam 10,000g in 1 day and spend all the money.

it will help if you have a unnormal charicter ie â or ê that way its harder to report

dont do this too often, cause blizz will find out, but i found out that even if u do get reported, it will be a 3 to 72hr ban. You won't get your account closed if you dont do it more than once in a few months or so. So if you are gonna do this, i suggest trying to sell something like Core Marks rifle, so you get 1000g in a month. I just tried this, deleted my character, he didnt know what hit him, and the funny thing about it was this guy goes to my school haha
