Scammed by goldbuyer, 400k
Got scammed a few days ago by a gold buyer. He told me to trade 400k to his char, but the same moment I opened trade window with his lvl1 he closed it (assuming autoclick, didn't even notice he closed the window), and opened trade with me with another char with similar name. I was stupid enough to fall for it and trade my gold to the wrong char, and now he claims he never got the gold. Is there anything I can do to get my gold back? Claim I got hacked? (I have played on the account after the incident)
All conversation was on skype.

Get his IP with skype resolver and DDOS him until you get your gold back.

Open a ticket and say you were hacked, your best chance really.

Yea Blizzard will always take your side. So all you need to do is open a ticket and claim ignorance. Say you dont know how or who took your gold and beg them for it back. DO NOT mention trying to sell it or they will close ticket and possibly ban you for a couple days.

Everyone saying to open a ticket and they will help you are wrong. Gold is one of the very few things blizzard will not help you recover, for obvious reasons if you wander around this forum enough. Thanks to the "dupe" involving hotspot shield, self "hacking" is one of the reasons blizzard is wary to return lifted gold.
The best thing you can do is report the character names of the ones you traded with, and have blizzard try and trace down the transaction and accounts responsible to take action on them. This has worked for me a couple times (they were very clear i wouldnt get my gold back). Dont tell them you were gold selling, tell them you were trading for X item (comparable to the amount of gold) and when you hit accept, he must have hacked and took the gold from trade without the item being placed (the D3 quick-swap item trade scam makes this very believable). Every GM i have talked to about it has been very helpful and assured that they can and will track down the culprit, and take action, and apologized for my loss.
good luck.

If you used a proxy like hotspot shield, open a ticket claiming you we're hacked.
If not: You done ****ed up, man.

Blizzard wont help you with this, if you're lucky enough you might get a ban instead for selling gold...

I could be wrong but you could say the two of you agreed to Garrosh carries etc.
or pvp carries. and altho the gold was paid he scammed you out of the services.
they will see that no items were paid for and maybe believe your tale.
