This probally wont work
I was just thinking about this...say you sold your OWN account online, then reported to Blizzard that somehow your account had been compromised, and they restore it with all of your old gear and such.
So you have essentially made money and kept your account. Feel free to flame me if I'm wrong, but just thought I'd mention this.

This probally wont work
Can you give me an example of why not?
In the Impersonation Scam post, the guy mentions how one of the targets called Blizzard and got his account back...so it's the same premise, but you DID get paid instead of being scammed like oyu told them. They only know what they're told.

could work once bilzz dont like restoring gear and money though
Science has not yet taught us if madness is or is not the sublimity of the intelligence.
If you sell that account with paypal and then steal it back , there are two things which are most likely to happen .
1) Paypal will get that money back .
2) Both your WoW and paypal accounts could get shut down for scaming (paypal) and account sharing (WoW) . Trust me , they have ways of traking down such things .
Suckage...well, you can delete this thread! lol

Nope, paypal will automatically side with seller if it's about virtual items.Originally Posted by Flying Piggy

Otherwise I dont see how you would make money from reporting it compromised. And if you even mentioned that someone else has access to it, Blizzard will close the account in a heartbeat for "investigating" and you would not be able to play for a long time.
Yes. some guy gipped me 100 bucks and i made a claim paypal didn't do anything. GG meOriginally Posted by Honsu
You have to be careful with this or you really could lose your account; you may get the GM who tells you that "it's listed on our tips section that account sharing compromises its security and that you put yourself at risk when sharing your account information, yadda yadda yadda."
I'm just saying, you're playing with fire on this one.
Your day will come.
What if you say that your account got scammed? or hacked?
If it would of work you would be scaming blizzard, not your own account.
sound very illegal gg for making ppl go to jail
might work but im not sure if this is a scam as much as a crinimally illegal act =P
