[How to] Prevent Scammers on Markee when Buying and Selling

Trying to trade or sell your account? Follow these easy steps!

    1. Confirm his identity! Ask for his Name and Phone number, Confirm these via white pages! (Enter his name and make sure the number corresponds)

    2. ALWAYS, ALWAYS ask to call the person. If they say no, Dont trade. Its as simple as that. If they cant take a simple phone call they aren't legit.

    3. ALWAYS, SEND A MONEY REQUEST. Never accept money if they are sending it, This makes chargebacks possible for that person.

"Under the details of the money receipt, place in the title and description "digital delivery of an intangible world of warcraft item - by accepting, buyer waives paypal buyer protection policy"

    4. Before you accept the money, Have him send an email from his paypal email. "This Prevents FRAUD"

4 A) Have him send the money as a gift if possible, This also prevents chargebacks.

    5. If 4a does not work, Have him open and close a dispute, DO NOT give him full info until then.

    6. If the user does not have a paypal, USE WESTERN UNION. Its your next best bet.

    7. Give him the full info, And keep in touch as much as possible.

I find this to rather be a copy-paste from markee safe trading threads/wiki.

Susy, Its a guide. The only thing I took from Markee was "digital delivery of an intangible world of warcraft item - by accepting, buyer waives paypal buyer protection policy" dont call it a repost because I wrote it out by myself.

Opening and closing a dispute does nothing. Writing by accepting this voids your paypal protection does nothing. Sending money request first does nothing.

The best advice is to require a phone call and use WU first before paypal.

Please do elaborate. Opening and Closing a dispute makes it so they can no longer open another dispute. Provide me with some proof as to this not working and we'll see.

You can open a dispute as many times as you want. Its been like this for a long time now.

On a single transaction you can only open a dispute once, Im unsure as to where you got your info from.
