"The CoD scam"

I have been using this for years. I checked and i didn't see this posted any were so i decided i wanted to share this. I have made over 40k and don't even use it very often.

What you will need.
- Around 100g
- Another account, Scammed account doesnt matter just one that if it gets ban no biggie
- A character bank that is in a capital city ( Alliance I got human and horde Orc/troll )

Getting Started

Alright first of all get onto your main character and send/trade your bank atleast 100g. Go to the Auction house and get something like Eternal Fire ( I Always use that Item) Then go and spam in /2 that you are selling Eternal fire x20 but remember only buy ONE. Usually they go for like 50g per so drop the price buy about 10g so your actually gonna be selling them for 40g. Do the math your self 40x20=800. But tell them that you are selling them 30g per instead of the Auction house price 40g per. You will get a lot of whispers as people probably think you are stupid for selling it for that cheap, and want to resell them for themselves. Now try and get them to at least buy 10 so once again do the math 30x10=300. If they want to buy 20 than that's great. I will get back to why you want to sell more than just 1 or 2.

Mailing the Item

Now tell the person you are scamming that you are in a huge rush and your parents are yelling at you to get down stairs and you can CoD the item to them right now at the mailbox. Most people don't have a problem with this unless they have no patients and need the mats right now. Anyways get to the mailbox type in the persons name. Then right click the item into the mailbox. It should make you subject something like this " Eternal fire " Now usually if you were actually sending them more then one it would say " Eternal fire (2)" or how ever many you were sending them. So anyways go to the subject box and remember they think you are selling them 10, then just type in (10) beside the item name so it will look something like this. "Eternal fire (10)" Most often they will see the (10) beside the subject so they will just take it. This works probably 80% of the time if not more. So then just tell them sent and have a good one or whatever. Then just go buy another eternal fire or whatever you find best for selling and spam trade again, who care if they say i thought u had to go which most people dont say and just rinse and repeat. Do the exact thing to the next person. After you have used all of your gold or however much you wanted to use just stop for 5 or so hours and log back on your bank. You will have tons of gold awaiting in the mailbox and for the few people who are smart and take a look at everything just use those items again on someone else.

Things to remember!


- Remember to CoD not send
- Try and sell more than 1 or 2 because thats just a waste not making a big enough profit.
- Remember to tell them that you are in a rush and you have to go now.

Curious, what happens to the gold once the people report you. Wouldn't the GM's just take it right back, or what do you normally do with the gold?

Recently it takes for ever for them to trace gold. Also I guess it would take longer because they got to make sure it actually was a scam. I honestly haven't gotten any taken away. Although I normally do spend it often on stuff like mounts and crafted gear ect, so the GM's cant get it back. But no the GM's havent taken it right back.

First goes like 3 hours then 3 days then permanently... I believe don't take my word on it though. Blizzard has really been calming down on scamming or something because i don't get banned as often anymore :P

Blizz wouldn't ban you for somthing like this. It's the buyers fault for not looking more carefully at the mail before tha accept it. Anyway wonderful guide, keep making more.
