    Funny Scam Story

    Funny Scam Story
Okay so I was leveling in Howling Fjord and this guy whispers me and asks me all this personal stuff and getting a little too friendly, I knew something was up either he thought I was a girl or he was trying to get something out of me.

So as I was leveling he would whisper me ding when he leveled and stuff like that trying to get to know me I guess.

So after 3 days of knowing him for 3 days he whispers me at 12:30 am "hey dude can you powerlevel me tonight?" He didn't mean help him quest but actually quest for him on his character. He said "If you do a good job I'll pay you 5,000 gold i promise."

So I was like okay why not, but I knew something was up, it was too much gold. So he gave me his account info and logged off.

I logged on to his character, he only had 900g :yuck: at that point I knew for a fact it was a scam. I simply went to orgrimmar traded the 900g to some level 24 and I told him if he transfer to my character I'll let him keep 20g. I logged on to my Alt and luckily the 24 actually came through and gave me my 880g.

I had a middle man to eliminate the chance of blizzard tracking the gold.

So he gets on the next morning and starts screaming at me about how I was going to get banned. I said, "I can't get banned you gave me your account info lol." So after like an hour of bitching when I was trying to run Nexus, he told me that I was going to have a bad reputation, he took it to general chat in Borean and I have a lot of guildies that I had already told the story to laughing at him in chat. Asking, "didn't you give him your account info." Him only replying by saying "I got keylogged"

So pretty much he was making a fool of himself in general lol.

So an hour later his whispers me "If you give me 200g I'll drop the whole thing." I responded by saying, "Dude face the facts you were trying to scam me and got your shit owned, you got what you deserved, let it be a lesson to you. Im not giving you anything back" He responded, "Fine enjoy your last days of WoW." Never disagreeing with my claim of scam.

Lets just say that I haven't even gotten a whisper from a GM. And Im 880g Richer!! Woot  :rimshot: :rimshot:

Wow! Seriously... who does that? Give full trust into someone with your account, even if he had the 5k in the first place, what an idiot, nice way to handle it, teach him a lesson !

Scamming a scammer is always a laugh
You should try and get him to post a picture of himself with a sign saying 'plz can i has my account back? ;_;' like people do with the 419 scammers.
