The "REPORTED" Scam

I've made over 900g in the past 4 hours by sitting in Org.

Just hang out in any major city. Right about now players are so excited about the release of WOTLK, that can't contain themselves.

1. Plant The Seed.
I get on an alt and start crying in Trade chat that my friend just got banned for 3 days for cussing, and he won't be able to play WOTLK untill this upcoming Sat.

2.
Next I get on another char, not my main, I don't want to ruin my rep on the server. I sit hang out in a major city and wait for someone to start cussing in trade chat. If I have to wait more than 10 mins. I provoke other players into swearing at me, either in trade chat or via a whisper. I will /w them to stop spamming in trade chat and 9times out of 10 they whisper back an obscene rant .

After they have cussed at me I /w them back "Reported". If i don't get a reaction, I will /w them back something like " Your guildies will be in Northrend lvling and be lvl 75 bye the time you get back from your ban"

This scares them enough so they now start acting all nice and try and apologize . I say it's too late for that. This is where the idiots start asking me "what can I do so you don't report me". I give them some bs story, this is my main and I need some money for a mount. I had 3 players give me 200g each and a few others giving me 50-150g.

Just be smart with this. Target the lvl 70's that are in a guild. But don't try and get money from players in the same guild.


I'm sure this method has been posted before. But now is the perfect time to use it. No one wants to get reported and possible banned for 4 hours to 72 hours right before WOTLK.

Epic failure since the Report spam will work only for gold and power leveling advertisements. If you report someone that has NOT spammed gold/power leveling the GMs will do NOTHING.

You need to go back and re-read. I never said anything about using the "report spam" option. This is about reporting real players, not the lvl 1s spamming trade channel selling gold.
