[How To] Email Hacking to Get WoW Account

[How To] Email Hacking to Get WoW Account
So you got access to an email account but don't know where to start looking for the persons WoW account? This guide will show you in depth of what steps to take on how to figure out ALL the info to someones account through their email.

    What YOU need:
    Person's Email Username / Password
    Alternative Email of Your Own
    Common Sense

Very first thing you do once you get into the "victim's" email is to never
immediately change the password. If they happen to be trying to check their email while you are doing this and can't get on, they will change the password by recovering it and you just lost access to that account. No way to get it back unless you follow certain steps I describe later on. A few precautions before I move on. Delete any messages that you have sent to that email using any method I describe there. Don't want them to find it and alarm them. If you read an unread email, always go back and mark it unread. Yet again, you don't want them to know you are actually on their email account.

There are alot of different places people get their email from, whether it be gmail, hotmail, or yahoo; all have a useful function called Search. Search for passwords, usernames, and even emails from blizzard. They will give clues or even the straight out answer to the WoW account you want. Many times I will find that someone sends thier user/pass to a friend to play for them. If your that lucky, move on. If not, keep reading. Either make of list of all the user/passes that you find or keep the emails open in a tab to look back at. Once you have all this, goto WoW.com Account/Password Retrieval . Choice that you Forgot your user name option. If this person does in fact have a WoW account tied to the email, this will tell you. When it doesn't provide you with a username, don't fret. Goto the list of your user names you gathered and hop on over to the Forgot your Account password page. Type in all the ones you found. If it is something really common, it may or may not be theirs, but you can try anyway. For the username you did find to work, type in all the passwords you found and try to log in to see if any of them work. Now on to the next section.

Recovering the secret answer is almost as valuable as getting the password to an account. Get to the password retrieval page, type in the username. This will bring you to the secret Q&A, my least favorite part. If the username was associated with the account, put that in the email box. If not, you will have to dig in their email to see if they have any related addresses that they possibly own. Depending on what the secret Q is, it can be guessed with little effort searching through their email. One time I had to find out the person's mothers maiden name and saw that they had her email address in the contacts. I sent her an email asking what is was, and within a day got a response from her with the answer. Thats a bit of social engineering, which is 50% of what scamming is about. Not much else to tell you about this other then keep searching for the answers in whatever way. If it asks for a highschool, put variations of the name. Ex. New York, New York High, NYHS. Things to that extent.

Now and hopefully that you have access to the WoW account. How to claim it. If you got the secret Q&A, this should be easy. Now go in and change the email, phone number, addresss, and password all to your own if you can. You can only change the number and email if you have access to the one that is already tied to the account. If so, go into the account preferences of that email and change everything you can to your own. Even some will allow you to change the secret Q&A along with adding a backup email incase they try to take it back. Always use fake info and a newly registered to replace everything with. It is best to write this all down also for the next step.

Calling blizzard is a last resort but very sneaky if used right. If for somehow they went through the trouble in filling out the form and getting the account back, you may have a chance to get it back again. Calling blizzard and telling them you forgot your password and email can be useful. They will ask most of the info you already know for the account such as the secret answer and name of the persons account. Then bam, you have it back in your hands. Just take the steps needed again to keep the info all your own.

If I missed something or anything needs to be added, just post about it.

Orange wall of text is attacking!!!! haha anyway on to the review

The scam is very and I mean very rare to come by because how exactly will you get someone's email and password unless you phish them which is still pretty hard. If you do manage to get it and sign in what if their password is different from their wow password? another thing is what if you don't know their last name? the last and final thing is the answer to the secret question, you said you emailed the mom, but come on lets be honest here wouldn't it be weird emailing your own mom for her maiden name?

So in the end the scam is completely hard to pull off, if you do pull it off and get something nice you are the best wow scammer alive. overall rating 2/10 simply because it's 99% impossible to pull it off.

you do relies its the people like you, your comments, and the blatant ripping of others work that leads to people of talent and skill to leave this site. i gave you props in your other thread and even lent a helping hand. please know who you are dealing with before insulting. I have been accredited with much for this community and most if not all original concepts. but seeing as i most likely took a leave of absence in the time you have been a member i don't expect you to know anything about them. i was mearly pointing out one of the million and 1 repost that seem to make up this once great community.

I never searched, nor did I read any thread before typing up my post. I've been doing this stuff since before '00 and gave my own words of what I do to find out this info. I just wrote it to help out others and I sure didn't expect any rep. As a matter of fact, a quick search doesn't even show your thread nor anything past a few weeks ago so you should expect some "reposts".
