What happens when they ask you to post on the thread
So, I realized this when I was trading by using markeedragon a couple of days ago. I searched a bit and couldn't find anything, but maybe this is a repost or just common sense, anyways here goes:
This is a trick where you gain someone's trust by pretending you're a very trusted trader.
1. Find someone one Markeedragon that wants to trade something you're interested in. It is best if he has almost no feedback at all (it's good if he has at least one though, so you know he's not a scammer). He also needs to have his IM information dispalyed.
2. Now find someone else on MD, someone that is trading within the section what the trade you earlier found was about (ie if the person you want to scam is trading a glider acc for a gamecard, find someone who sells a lot of gamecards) He also needs to have his IM displayed, but preferably just written in a single thread or hidden somewhere in his profile info. It cannot be written big in his signature or so. The last and most important thing about this person is that he needs to be a very established MD member, with a big feedback thread, lots of rep and so on.
3. Create an IM adress very similar to the established MD member's. It's best if it has his nickname in it or so...
4. Make the IM beileveable by adding a name a pic and so on, and then add the person from no 1.
5. Star by asking "Is the account still up for trade?" or whatever it is. The person will probably respond back yes and ask who you are. If not, simply tell him "I amfrom MarkeeDragon".
6. And there you have it. Now you can continue the scam, there are a lot of guides on how to do the different scams. However, once you're about to trade, simply say that you never give your account info first due to all the scammers, and then mention your good feedback versus his non-existing feedback, how trusted you are etc.
It may sound a bit cheap but it really isn't. If you say and appear to be a certain person, most people will acctually believe you.
I'm betting this is really old and whatnot and I'm sorry if that's the case. Otherwise, I hope I helped some of you guys gain better trust! Happy scamming!![]()

Then... Quick block him and logout :P
Nice guide, will be useful.
interesting indeed
nice idea. could also be used to ruin someones reputation.
great idea dude, thanks for everything
Hrmm, ideas there, now to go practice.![]()
love ya for this! cant rep anymore today though
If they ask you to post on their thread, tell them your markeedragon is having trouble loading at the moment, and your getting some type of black screen. It's a common error on MD that several accounts get, but rarely and radnomly. Sometimes they will believe you .. if not just move along.
+Rep
I don't think i know what markeedragon is but anyway![]()
