Rofl! Seriously..
I dont know if anyone has posted this before, but i have an idea for a twist on the best-buy and walmart cd keys scams.
1. Go to a local walmart and or best buy and buy a WoW Battlechest.
2. Open it carefully at home.
3. Use cd keys for whatever you need.
4. A litte twist here, instead of puting things back in a hoping an excuse can work. you can demagnetize the install cd's with a large magnet from a home speaker set or any other magnet.
5. Then put things back in box take it bac to store say "cd's don't work" ask them to try it themsleves because they wont work and there's really nothing they can do. Though if they offer you just new cd's reject it and act all outraged.
6. Get new battlechest do it all again at a different store.
I've tried it twice and worked great both times. Enjoy!
Rofl! Seriously..
Sorry, CD's aren't magnetic![]()
trust me. it works, every electrical item has some magnetization.
this could work. magnetic forces do decompose CD's.
Sounds sort of risky, but I might try it.
in theory this should work
It could work, but honestly why go through the trouble when the other method works just fine? I've done it and they didn't even question me on returning it I just told them I wanted a refund.
Actually just did that today for my new scammed account actually worked ggfunny part was the guy that was at customer service was talkn to me about wow an how he hates paying for game cards
lol thanks for ripping my thread? http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-sc...e-cd-keys.html
And what do you mean instead of having to make an excuse? This is a lot more complicated when you go through the trouble of completely ruining the CD's, and you still have to make up a lie. Plus this method would have no purpose for 'carefully' opening the package if you're going to admit you tried the CD's anyway.
You would get twice as many questions if you said the CD's don't work than if you just said it was a gift that someone already had. Plus, they would give you in-store credit, not your actual cash back because you're claiming to have used, or atleast opened the product, and that it isn't resellable.
Seriously, fail.
So are we to assume the cashier has WoW installed on the computer at the desk and are just going to pop it in to test it? hehe
I'm with Heftydogg on this one. Not that it's stolen; I believe it's your idea. But his method is much easier and fool-proof. And I know for a fact that any store around here will only give you store credit if the item is in any way un-resellable.
Worked for me ;d
