Easiest scam ever

Ok, So i was sitting naked in IF on one of my alts, complainin that my account got hacked (As a joke, Yeah i was bored). Anyway, Ten minutes into my crying, Some guy came up and wispered me "Sorry to hear about your account, hope this helps" and gave me 100g, and it carried on like this for about an hour. Now ive got about 800g When i only had 300g before Just thought id share this with you guys

i faked my own account hacking, then got a gm to change my name. all new gear, new mounts and money from guild.

may i suggest an idea..
make a trial account aka "the hacker"
your normal account "the hacked account"
and try and make up something from that how to make it work... i cbb to think as its 12:30am -.-

No you don't have to be a lvl 60 but it makes it all the more real that way.

I like this idea but I can't do it since I am the guild banker and hold the Raid mules for the guild. If I ever got hacked....it would be a really bad day for me and my guild.

This isn't true since GMs can see the logs which would show a different IP logging onto your account, and IF that did in fact happen you would have needed to have the gear , mount ,money etc. originally for them to restore it.

What would matter if a different IP logged into your account. Guess what? I have two computers that I log onto my account with and they aren't the same IP so how would that prove anything?

Maybe a proxy would do it? Doesn't really matter since the main thing is that you would need to have had the items in the first place.

I think it's obvious you can't just say. OOPS Looks like I need a restore on my full Tier 3 set and a GM will do it. But I might have misunderstood what you meant, in which case... my bad.
