I don't understand the "gain" of this scam.
Please explain.
THIS IS A TRANSFER METHOD FOR SCAMMED GOLD! NOT A SCAM!
This is an easy way to launder, using an intermediary who has no clue.
First you will approach a complete stranger (lvl 70) with a Lvl 1 bank toon.
You ask him if he will do you an uber favor and that you'll reward him/her handsomely. You'll be better off to target a chick because of the volume of this trick, but dudes will help just as well.
Now this is where the vicious LIE comes into place.
You tell the victim that you need his help to make up with your girlfriend. I tell them that she has my main character on ignore, won't answer my phone calls, and every attempt ends in failure. I say that she is always mad at me because she thinks I'm selfish, yada, yada, yada...and you would like this person to give her a shit-ton of gold to prove what she means to you.
I know this sounds gay, but a true WoW nerd will understand how much a donation of so much gold means.
I gave the guy 1000 and told him to keep 200 of it, then gave him the name of the "girl" aka my main, and told him to tradw with her and tell her it was from me, payment of everything I had in the game, to hear me out for five minutes.
Now, have your main account open in another window, or log in immediately.
Tell the mark that she is online now, or has just logged on.
Most people will do such an easy task for the 200g, but I had one chick on mmy server say, "Oh, that's so sweet!" It's hilarious...because then when the guy comes up to my main, they're always like, "Hey, your exboyfriend wanted me to give you this. He wants you to talk to him."
I will act like a chick long enough to get the trade, then when the dude says ,"So, you got myspace?" I ignore him.

Yeah... meen either. This really doesn't seem like a scam o.o
Your just losing 200 gold!
Please go into further extent of the scam and what you gain... other then a laugh or else it's pointless.
Maybe a way to transfer the gold? Ah, laundering..
This is not a scamming method..
If you scam a whole bunch of gold, then you give it to that guy (the target) who will trade it to your main,so blizzard won't think as much about getting YOU banned.

They will still see you transfer the gold.. it's just like asking an RL friend to do it.
This is nothing new..
Giving hundreds of gold to a random person, BRILLIANT!
Thank Potatoe.
I thought that labeling it with LAUNDERING would show that this is not a scam. It's honestly the quickest, yet to be bannable, way to transfer gold from a scammed account to a main account. Sure, you lose 200g, but compared to the uber amounts of gold you can scam at any one time, it's chump change.
I piss on 200g. lol @ yellow pee
Who TF are you? Go leech some more before attempting to flame in a world you barely comprehend...God you people piss me off.

Still, it's the same as asking a RL friend to transfer. Just the extra whole scenario with your ex girlfriend.. lmao.
There's still a ban chance.
This is of course after you've laundered it via ur alts on the scam account.
It's just another creative buffer by which you can transfer gold.

This would work, but idk... risky.
over 100 accounts scammed.
Everything has risk my boy...too bad this poor bastard doesn't know he's in the middle of said risk.

Again, you're giving a RANDOM person 1000g.
Do you not see the fault in this logic?
Still, it's very risky. To depend all your gold on a nerd's leetsauce, not smart.
You guys miss the greatest point of this...if he decides to take the money and run...report him. Lol. Just saying, it's worked for me, and you can try it if all else fails. Personally, after a thorough cleaning of my gold, this is one of the quicker transfer methods.
