WotLK pre-launch world event

so, looks like we got our first info of the World event leading up to the launch of WofLK...

if you do a little digging (and i mean very little) you come across a nice quest box on a few sites and some discussion

seems the scourge is burning down org in the pre-release server event

good to know the horde still stands tall... but it has me wondering (and really hoping) if there is an alliance equivalent... i'd toss a vote towards stormwind being attacked, but that seems unlikely because they just got a new harbor

Razing means Destruction of

Garrosh Hellscream is in Warsong Hold in Northrend... but yet, he is pointing to the walls around him, (Warsong Hold) but mentioning it is a result of the razing (burning or destruction) of Orgrimmar... whn looking in the beta, Warsong Hold is very large indeed. Perhaps the entire capital actually was destroyed, entirely, and then it was "moved" to Warsong Hold? Just throwing that out there.
Maybe not moved, but yet, the entire warsong hold being built was a result of the destruction of Orgrimmar.
So, this is not a pre-launch event.. but a launch event.
Of course, notice how only the quest is screenshotted. This could just as easily been done on an emulated server.

There will be a new part to orgrimmar, it will be an arena. But this looks sweet.

Sounds like we might have patch 1.11.0 all over again. For the new people who didn't get to experience that patch.

Patch 1.11.0 was the introduction of the 40-man raid dungeon called Naxxramas. Kel'thuzad began his assualt on the capital cities of Azeroth. (Thunder Bluff, Orgrimmar, Undercity. Aswell as Ironforge, Darnassus, Stormwind respectively.) This was a great event if you were lvl 40+, as the event produced some quests where you could get a set of armor that increased your fight power againist the Undead.

Now with WotLK we might be experincing the same thing, but not just Kel'thuzad and his minions again. Not quite, we might be facing an onslaught of Undead Scrouge attacking all the capital cities. (Same as 1.11.0 most-likely, just with Exodar and Silvermoon included.) So my speculation for this event is that the Alliance and Horde cities' defences have failed and the Scourge are now running amok and burning the cities.

Now please note that this is a guess. I think it might be like this.
