Only thing you need to worry about group makeup wise is paladins, you'll need probably two for moroes, doesn't matter what spec, just not ret.. throw 2 tanks in there, maybe a warrior and druid, and the rest fill with any dps, you'll also need at least one priest or hunter for shackles or traps, assuming the paladins are holy grab a off healing/dpsing priest
sooo
2 tanks.. warrior warrior or druid druid.. or druid warrior
2-3 healers.. 2 paladins and 1 off healing priest
5-6 dpsers.. grab a hunter for the extra trap, then the rest fill with w/e you want

1 Prot Warrior
1 Feral Druid
1 Shadow Priest
1 Mage
1 Warlock
2 Paladin
1 Tree Druid
1 Elemental Shaman
1 Rogue
Everything is covered. Gives you 1 solid tank, and an off-tank when needed, if needed. I personally solo-tank the entire thing, not to hard. A melee group, a caster group, heroism, buffs, everything is covered. This is my prefered group for ZA also. Although, I often trade a paladin for a second tree-druid in ZA.

To be fair, the perfect groupsetup isn't the most important thing, the general skill level is.
What you will want is something like
2 Tanks(Warrior main preferably, makes Nightbane easier - paladin second makes trash a lot faster and easier but druid or another warrior is fine as well).
3 Healers(Priest/Paladin/Shaman is my favourite combination, paladin can be switched for a druid)
2 AP DPS(hunter/rogue/furywarrior/enh shaman - hunter helps at Nightbane with MD but it doesn't really matter)
3 Caster DPS(shadow priest/mage/warlock one of each is good)
you need more healers..if your group is low geared :\
Really the only thing you need for kara is a proper setup of people that know what they're doing and aren't stupid. I hope I don't offend anyone now but if someone is in full season 1 honor gear I wouldn't take them...
For group setup;
One maintank and one offtank. Offtank is good to have a fury warrior or feral druid so they can do dps when there's no need for an offtank (Maiden, BBW, Curator, Shade, Nightbane, Prince).
3 Healers are advisable if you're starting kara. When you have better gear you can go with 2. One paladin is good for blessings, especially salvation. Priest is good for shackles on Moroes and trash. I'd recommend 1 paladin / 1 priest / random.
That leaves 5 dps'ers. Don't take more than 2 melee dps since it can be hard on some bosses. A warlock is good for Illhoof if you're starting kara. Shadowpriest is also useful if you only have one healing priest so that you can have 2 shackles.
Good luck with kara and hope it helps.

Um.. Prot Palas rock at Kara... Prot Warr / Pala or Feral Druid (Better to have a combination)
U probably need 3 healers no question if your new to KZ - Holy Priest,
5 DPSers... Easier if you had a Shadow priest for extra shackle, DPS Druids suck (my opinion)
personally i would never go with more than 1 holy pally to kara, much better to take a priest/shaman/druid, a combo of those and a pally is the best, IF you take a 2nd pally id say make it prot for the AoE crap to make it 10x easier
i would say for a starting guild you shall need:
2 tanks (one of them druid is nice)
3 healers (priest and pallas)
1 lock
1 mage
2 rogues
1 shammy
Good Luck but 3 tanks are need at begin of kara
dont really think so cause you cant afford at the begining of kara to lose a dps or a healer for 1 more tank :S
