Wondering if such a mod/hack still exists..

This used to exist, it was a colour hack combined with going to the end of your line and onto the next, you had to have it perfect our you'd be found out.

I'm pretty sure there was a blue post maybe a year ago that said roll hacks never existed.

Back in the beta there was an addon or mod whatever, that was made with a color hack that could get you to do high rolls. But shit like that is fixed long time ago.

there is no such thing simply because it is server side so even if you can get a high roll in your screen other player will still get the real number

That works on Private Servers, Not sure if it works on Real blizzard. (When you roll with that Script I believe it only shows you that you rolled) Could be used to scam, Like Use that then say "WTFZ I rolled a 100... I'll SS it and upload this real fast" Upload it then MAYBE get your free epix.

That would work on retail too, because it makes a invalid link in the users chat box. It does not send it using SendChatMessage so only you would see it anyway. :P

It's all serverside, i doubt there was/is/will be such a mod/hack.

This will work on private servers still, use yellow color numbers instead of whats in there, replace the start of the roll etc... mess with it.

It was fixed when blizzard stopped letting us use colored text. Simple Protection.

i wish there was a way we could do it...iv lost out on countless rolls on loot i should have gotten but some nub always rolled 1 or 2 points higher then me >_>

Unless I am mistaken the rolls used to be client side way back during like the first month of WoW. They patched it pretty early. Then people used the color hack to still get the high roll that got fixed when color chat got removed.
