Are people selling/buying naxxramas gear in classic era?

Some level 1 was spamming in SW that they were selling loot run.
I talked to the guy on discord and he said that they're a group of people who take 1 or 2 players and boost them through naxx.
They dont do anything on your account, just run through naxx.
They give a 7 item guarantee. If you don't get your items, you can join in on the next.
The price is 70 euros.
It's paid in steam gift cards.

Sounds scammy.
He doesnt wish to verify who he/they is/are ingame, since I could be anyone investigating the selling. And could get them banned. Which is a fair argument.
He says that he wants me to pay before they invite, so that they "have leverage on me". That i'll be banned as well.
Fair enough, but still sounds like a china scam or something.

I saw this person too and decided to give him a try. I used a dummy discord and dummy device to contact him to prevent any malicious remote access from his behalf.

After sending the code, he disappeared. Straight up scam. His name is (Walory).

The only thing that made the whole story somewhat believable is that during classic vanilla, there actually were Chinese Naxx loot runs.

I would stay away from such possible scams
