Hi guys...

For all of you playing on rebel wow, (PS) they SAY that they have theyre own emulator. But you know what? It's all ascent, just renamed some files, and stuff.

This is a story about a (probably 10 year old) kid that I'm sure many of you know. His name is Spirit, aka Outbreak and Codius. Now as you all heard a few days ago his shitty server "RebelWoW" that only gains players by hacking others, getting Spirit's bitches/slaves/lowlifes (Hurricane, etc, YES thats what you are) to apply at other peoples servers to gain gm, then announce "COME TO REBELWOW". RebelWoW usually dies, merges with another server, kills it, eventually dies and then a few months comes back using the same tactics. It's an endless cycle.

Yesterday, I received an interesting email.

So I thought alright cool, theres a feature-rich emulator thats obviously been developed for ages that I didn't know about. I thought I'd better take a look, since weeks ago Spirit had been flaming about how crappy Ascent was and about how spectacular his VB-based emulator was. In my opinion at least it's pretty impossible for them to get to where Ascent is in a few months, considering it took Ascent 2 years to get to where it is.

Their website page looks exactly like the Ascent registration page seen on most servers (also, the idiot was using XAMPP so taking down his webserver only took a few requests/second, for anyone whos interested). I made an account and went ingame and made a warrior.

All of the NPCs as well as mobs moved (waypoints) exactly the same as they do in common Ascent databases. This was starting to get interesting. I killed a mob and got myself some money, then proceeded to go to Goldshire.

Using the money that dropped from the monster as well as its loot, I sent myself a mail message using more than one item, knowing Ascent can't do this. (its easy, I just haven't got around to fixing it yet)

They've been targeting Dominion WoW for a while, and today I went to Dominions website to see if the rebel suckers had done anything more to Dominion (Hadn't been there for a while), and I found this:

We have updated our site with all current information and cleaned numerous things up. As of right now we have still not put our forums back up due to security issues. As many of you know by now we have been targeted by another server called Rebel WoW. The staff of this server have attacked us repeatedly and compromised our great community. They have run countless DDOS attacks on our dedicated server. Caused a great deal of in game issues from lag, spamming, crashes leading to corrupt character tables and the list goes on. They have also as you know gained access to our website ftp at one point and played with our website. They have also attacked Deej and my personal computers gaining access to paypal information, email addresses and passwords for pretty much everything. They also at one point took over our ventrillo server. We have regained control of everything and have been placed behind a DDOS guard by our dedicated host. This unfortunately has caused some authentication issues but I assure you that we are taking measures to ensure the safety of our server and then this guard will not be needed. I would like to thank you all for your patience throughout this time and thank you for standing by us. What all of this has shown is what our entire community has known for a long time.....we have the best WoW community around. Thanks again.
