Avoiding Phishing?

Hey,
I was thinking of how to avoid Phishing to keep your toon save.
So here's what I imagine:
If there's a Phishing site, where you have to give your Account information you type something like "apwoam381mty", if it does work, it is phishing.
Would this work?

Look at the URL.

If it doesn't begin with World of Warcraft Community Site or something like it, it's a phishing site.
