WTF files?

I was looking at the good old WTF and Cache files and I was wondering if there is a way to possibly move one character from one account, say a private server one to a retail. All I want to know is if it's possible and has anyone ever attempted to do it? I'd figure you'd have to do a huge amount of hacking to get your char into Blizzard's data base though.

I would probably say thats it is impossible, you would have to hack into their DB and get them to not notice that their DB got hacked. I would say that you would rather level a char then go through the work of importing a character, that you would probably get a big fat law suit for.

That is not possible as characters are all server sude, not client side.

Yeah, figures =P I just really wanted to know from the pro's if it's possible for just anyone to do, lol...

yeah i have a question.. are blizz's server like ascent at all?

or is it a completely different setup

I'm sure they're not similar at all.

1) Ascent uses MySQL, WoW uses Oracle 10g(or whatever newest oracle __g is), infos are different
2) Server side, not client side.
