How likely am I to get banned?
So, I did something dumb. I decided to buy a heroic argus kill for real money about a week ago, the run went great and all and the sellers delivered promptly.
My stupidity came in the fact that once I completed the transaction on the site i couldn't figure out when the run would be scheduled so i whispered the guy who had the lfg add posted and said i placed an order on the website and had questions about scheduling.
He didn't reply and i later figured out how it worked, but my stupid whisper has been concerning me.
How likely is Blizzard to come across that whisper in their logs (like, for example, as they are banning the advertisers account) and ban me?
Very dumb of me, as it was the only in-game trail of anything concrete happening. Should I be worried, or am I over-thinking this?

Not likely to be banned, maybe suspended for a week or two. It rarely happens. You're safe, just don't ever whisper in game (just in case)

Just anytime you buy things like that make sure when you talk to them its outside of the game.

Not likely at all. I've even told people about selling my oldschool glad chars ingame for a lot of irl cash, who gives a fuck... as long as you don't get reported, nobody will look at any logs and stuff. And nontheless, just imagine the amount of whispers and shit they'd have to go through on a daily basis... it's just simply not worth it to ban a few people.
I'm 99,9% sure nothing will ever happen.

Im sure they have some sort of filter.

They do have filters which can scan for keywords, however it all depends on what was actually said. Mentioning website and order means nothing without context.

Dont mean to thread-necro here, but I've also been wondering about purchasing a quick service like a mage tower run. Curious to see if 20 minutes somewhere else logged in by my booster is going to make a difference in the sea of people trying to also boost for their mage towers.

Yep, They can check the logs and see what you did those 20 min. You always spin the ban roulette wheel with a piloted boost, just evaluate risk/reward and don't do stupid things like: try to log in while the pilot is playing, whisper in game about the boost, not using a VPN. Don't be in a guild helps too, because they will see the achievement in the guild chat (btw the mage tower achievements only unlocks when you turn the quest right?) and report you if they see something shady.
And remember always , the banhammer can be hours, days, or months later.
I hope this helps and I apologize for my poor English.
