What are the good items to farm without legion?

well i'm new in game and never played previous expensions. i moved to US but i could only afford the battlechest without legion.

So i don't know what to farm and what sells good normally.

anyone know what is good to farm so i can buy game time, and also sell some gold?

If i was to start absolutely fresh on a realm with nothing, i'd level a bit then i would farm 2 or 3 of these from dire maul for some base cash, which would take me a min or two each run by just going inside dire maul and looking down to see if the books spawned, they normally sell for 5 to 10k each:

Then i'd weigh up which world drop pets seems pricey on the realm and focus on getting 1 of those to see how they sold then if they did, grind another. Whilst i was wiating for the pet sales i'd either move onto the next pet so i could have a nice selection for sale (because pets dont sell fast) I'd maybe look how ghost iron is selling on that realm and take up mining, ghost iron seems to be expensive due to people needing it to make the shredder mount.

Once you'e in wod areas, you could keep on checking if the big tanann rares are up to kill them for their rep tokens, people are always buying them because a lot of people missed grinding the rep for wod flying so they buy them to catch up.

Theres many other niche markets you could grab hold of like farming Dampscale Basilisk Eyes for the hero of shattrah feat of strength, maybe put in them in a package with aldor/scryer rep items from old tbc instances and sell them as a whole for big gold. You also have stuff like dino bones for the mount in isle of giants, farming lockboxes for ravendholt rep for someone (if you have a rogue) and a few other things if you think outside of the box.

You could also do transmog but to me when i tried it, most markets are saturated with items and most stuff takes months to sell/you have to get lucky with a drop so the time v reward to me wasnt wort it.
