How "Legit" are unbanning services
Since unbanning services really can't get out reviews since they dont want their customers re-banned, how legit are they? I'm asking because my main WoW account was recently banned and I was looking into them instead of creating a new account

I've used an unbanning service before (not naming names) and surprise, surprise, it didn't work so I suggest taking these services with a pinch of salt.
I was half-expecting it was a blizzard employee who has gone rogue and is pulling bans from accounts for a bit of cash on the side but no, it's actually just someone who will write your support ticket for you. They told me that you should use a VPN when you are botting so you can claim you have been hacked if things go tits up which makes it alot easier but that advise isn't something that is given to you until you are already banned and have paid for the service.
It's a matter of back and forth of badgering on to blizzard stating that you definetly were not hacking/botting whatever and for them to look into it further, i'm pretty sure alot of the 'letters' are just standard templates which is dished out to everyone who pays for this service, just with a couple of words/sentences changed depending on what the person got banned for.
I personally wouldn't use an unbanning service again, think it's a complete waste of money and they are praying on those who are desperate / stupid enough to bot on a valuable account.
I think the point is that someone who tries to get people unbanned all the time probably has a higher chance of success than someone who doesn't. Some people are just very bad at communication. If you can speak clear English, not lose your cool, explain exactly what the problem is succinctly and be persistent then I doubt these services can help you.
Judging from wow bug report forum that is like 1% of the warcraft player population, so maybe this is of value to some.

I personally wouldn't pay (again) for a service like this. Much like UrbanSurgeon said it's more or less a waste of time and money. It would be quicker to and more efficient to spend that money on a new account and wait for the ban (i'm assuming it's a suspension) to expire. This might have worked in the earlier days but Blizzard doesn't quite care anymore and are seeming to take a more aggressive stance on bots.

If you got banned for honorbuddy in a recent wave then dont bother trying to get unbanned you have less than a 1% chance

I got banned two years ago (I think) during the very first honorbuddy banwave which was a 6 month ban. Bought the "unbanning service" cause I felt desperate to get my account back. It didn't work. Don't let desperation make you do foolish things. Don't fall for jewish tricks. Just wait it out and you'll get it back...unless you got permabanned of course.

As one of the guys above said. yes, they are legit.. no,it won't work most of the time

Your chances of success are slim, if any.
I guess it boils down to how desperate you are

The only thing they do is provide generic emails, well written with good grammar/vocabulary, for you to send to Blizzard.
So it's pretty much a waste of money.
