Bossland, creaters of the popular WoW bot Honorbuddy, has just confirmed yet another banwave, making this ban wave the second one this month, the third in 2016 and at least the fifth one in two years.
[Official] Banwave 22-11-2016 Discussion
The previous 4 banwaves were May 13, 2015, Dec. 16, 2015, May 19, 2016, and Nov. 9, 2016.
As usual, the first punishment from a Blizzard banwave usually results in a 6-month suspension, while the second results in a suspension for 18 months. I've read that the third punishment is a permanent ban, but since it hasn't even been 24 months since the first banwave above, few people can speak to this policy from experience. Further, and AFAIK, the suspension only takes into account the previous suspension on a specific account, and not on the entire Battle.net account which can have up to 8 separate accounts.
It is unknown whether this banwave affects multiple third-party software users, or just Honorbuddy. (The Nov. 9, 2016 banwave affected users of other prohibited software, and not just Honorbuddy users.)
