Is there a guide anywhere to starting a new account to bot on?

Hey guys,

I used to bot back in MoP and have returned to playing WoW in Legion. I need gold and wanted to make a new account (seperate b.net account, fake E-Mail, Name etc.) to bot on. Before I spend U$ 40+ on Legion, I wanted to ask you guys what the best way would be to proceed. I do not want my main account to get banned.

1) I have a dynamic IP, do I need a VPN?
2) Can I sell the gold on my bot account for real money and then buy game time? Is there any way to trace this and how risky is it?
3) Are there any good ways to make gold at level 100 or do you need Legion?
4) Do you guys know any good sellers selling the WoW BattleChest cheap? I saw some people saying BattleChest is going for $5, but I haven't found anyone selling it for that cheap.
5) Thinking about using RaF to get 2 chars to 100 on my own. That way I would have a back-up account at 100 already, is this risky?

Any guides that answer my questions would be appreciated too.

Well I have just started again - here's what I did:

Main account on gaming PC - do not want banned
Second account setup as GM - holds all gold and subscription is expired
Bot account runs on an old PC and deposits gold to guild bank

No VPN as shared WiFi will be my excuse if need be, not sure how to transfer gold to my main yet, I have bought some of my own auctions but nothing too large


You can buy gametime with gold now, selling gold for cash will get you banned quicker. You can make gold at 100 farming old mats and running firelands but legion will be much better

I only have 1 PC. Would running the bot on a VM be better? Would be sweet since I could play on my real account while botting on the other too.

Not really sure, I bought the PC on eBay for £35 - was buy it now 😊 think VMs will be risky
