Shamans in Legion = Fun?

I have watched quite a number of videos in the last little while based on what kinds of changes per class there are, and the Shaman's look like they had the biggest overhaul from what they were. Enhancment Shaman's look SO fun, and I was just wondering if anyone could do a comparison between a Shaman and a Death Knight.

They both seem to be pretty fast paced, and your actions seem to have a sense of meaning when you use them, but I don't really play a DK, I have one from WotLK but ... it was just kinda meh for me.

Any thoughts?

As an ench shaman main I very much like the change. Nothing was to bad with the old spec just had that DDR feel where you hit the glowing button and not much room for improvement from shit to good players. As for the new system there is a way bigger skill gap now, Also the new talent system feels a lot less cookie cutter for us. in most tiers there is two viable choices. Sadly I have not played a DK since WOTLK so i can not speak to their similarity. If I had to compare I would put them somewhere between a rogue and warrior in terms of builder and speeder. If you are going to main one I would get the addon TMW to track your up time of flamelash and the frost one.

Ahh okay. I burned through 86 to 92 today. It's okay, but I feel like I just don't have any way to generate the 'power' to use flame lash and all that stuff. I seem to just sit and auto attack outside of the 2 minute cooldown on the wolves.

If I use the wolves, it's perfect and flows really smoothly, but when there are no wolves out, I basically sit there and spam lightning bolts until I get some auto-attacks in.

I will agree even at max level (100) I do have those moments. Word of advice is that flame lash should only be used when wolves are popped as you will generate too much malestrom then.

Also talent build is 3,2,1,3,3,1,2

Ok so... I wanted to update. I got the shaman to 100, 700iLevel in a few days (3 i think. maybe 4 hours of playtime) and I thought it was super super slow paced. So I watched a video on Enh. spec... I completely forgot that there are talents in the list that give me abilities. Boulderfist for example as a builder for maelstrom ... yea. So now that I did that, it's WAY better lol.

Word of advice is that flame lash should only be used when wolves are popped as you will generate too much malestrom then.

Flametongue should always be used. With Hailstorm skilled you should also always keep up your Frostbrands Buff.
Don't ever use Lightning Bolt! It stops your Autoattacks and is just bullshit for DPS. Only for pulls where you cant use your Boulderfist.
So:
1. Always keep up your Buffs (Frostbrand and Flametongue)
2. Don't let Boulderfist stacks cap!
3. NEVER use Lightning Bolt
4. Always keep Stormstrike on CD
5. If you have too much Maelstrom, dump it with Crash Lightning (especially when you've skilled it!)
6. Use Lava Lash ONLY when Wolves and Bloodlust/Heroism is up and you have 110+ Maelstrom as a dumper!
