a simple guy looking for simple pwnage

Hey everyone,

I just joined the site and first of all I appreciate whoever started it and everyone that contributes. For me WoW has become very, very stale and this site seems to be teeming with ideas on how to spice things up.

The one idea I'm currently looking at is connecting to a private server and getting some sweet, sweet gm powers to just fulfill all of my epic, legendary and artifact dreams for a bit. I've looked over a post that details how best to connect to a private server (big ups to Obex for that post) but now I have other questions.

First of all how safe is connecting to a private server? Do I have to worry about IP scams or anything like that? Also... can any of you mmowned.com vets point me to any private servers that they feel are trustworthy?

Again, any help would be appreciative. And I look forward to contributing to the site in any way, shape and form possible. Thanks, everyone.

Private Servers are really safe, nothing will happen to you if you use one.. I've never had anything happen to me.. A good one, as far as I'm concerned, is WoWAxxo - The Premium Burning Crusade Server Experience

That server you mentioned; would I be able to get some great equipment and what not to test out? Epics, legendaries and what not?

On WoWAxxo, yes. But it's currently down, and it has a trainer bug on it. So you'd have to wait for a few hours or until tomorrow. World of Wowlord.. You actually have to level, but it's pretty quick going.
