The point raised in the video is the same one that comes up every time a new beta is released. "Why dont I get the beta? i've been playing for X years! i deserve it more than my friend who started playing last month only! he got the beta why dont i?"

they are rewarding existing players: they get weapon skins. so what if you have to put the code on your current account? yes, you now need to choose between a: weapon skins and b: creating and selling an account for IRL dolla billz. (Possibly. no information has been released yet? why are we having a giant QQ video posted when blizzard hasnt even finalized the info for the gift yet?!?!?!?!)

I agree with @TehVoyager. The entire point for this movie being made, and reason why it looks similar but quite different than the WoW you're used to is because this movie is being made in a different time/setting. They want people who have NEVER experienced WoW before to watch this movie and not be confused. And they want people who have played WoW for 10 damn years to watch it and say YES I KNOW THIS PERSON! Besides all my classic accounts have now been converted to WoD accounts. Might want to check your classic accounts if you have any. At the end of the day you need to ask yourself: WHY am I still paying for this game if I hate and disagree with its creators so much? There are hundreds of games to choose from. But you know damn well Warcraft, as bad as WoD was, has a game like no other. It's amazing, it still has millions of players and it can only get better from getting new people who have watched the movie.

I'm not saying its a bad reward or anything. I'm saying that its only rewarding for newer people just handing out the game to them almost for free which is entirely unfair compared to the fact that people that has paid the game full price ain't getting shit. Not only is it only people that visit selected theaters but its also as if they pay you to watch their movie as if that is the encouragement to make people go watch it.

with how much you want to be handed everything, its probably for the best you didn't start playing till Cata / MoP. TBCs difficulty probably would have put you off wow.

Why people feel so entiteld? I've spent almost 11 year in the game and I never got any invite to beta or anything. Blizzard does limited things and they usually only let people in france get it unless you go to france to get it (etc. Blizzcon the first few years), and that's just how it is. Until there's a statement from Blizzard about what the rewards are, then you shouldn't be whining about anything.

Thats called marketing. Are you serious right now? Every company in the WORLD practically hands their stuff over for nothing or almost nothing.

Lets take a look at phones for example. I own the Samsung Note 5. I paid 599 for this phone. In 2 years the price of this piece of crap is gonna go down significantly. Matter of fact I own a Samsung Note 3. I paid 799 for it because it was unlocked. Now its not even worth 150. Thats the decay in value.

Star Wars the Old Republic was 59.99 when it launched. I bought the collectors edition like a moron. Now its free.

I mean I can give you 200 other examples. You act as if Blizzard is the first and only company to do this. You PAID for WoD before it was launched and you got to enjoy WoD the ENTIRE time. Even though WoD was a crappy filler xpac that ruined WoW, we still got to enjoy it from beginning and end. Who gives a crap if new people get all the xpacs up to WoD. Its old content. Only reason people are gonna go there is to level up to 110 and do pet battles. There's LITERALLY nothing WoD will be used for in Legion. Why are you so bent out of shape over an OLD xpac?

I know this will put me in the minority and im OK with that, but i dont think the content that was released was bad, and i dont think its ruined wow in any way... my only real complaint about WoD would be that from the sounds of it (remember, i started up again in november) they just diddnt release ENOUGH content.

Exactly. Companies hand out free shit all the ****ing time and Blizzard isn't an excuse. They've given a lot of free stuff so people joined WoW or returned to WoW. Now they are giving free shit so people go watch their movie, probably because it'll be mediocre. A lot of games that's been paid for like Rift, SWTOR or almost any mmorpg these days are free now.

In my opinion, this is marketing all the damn way, numbers are dropping by the month and players return whenever a new xpack arrives.So with this new movie Blizzard said "Hmm, let's recruit some peons with this movie and give them a taste of what WoW means".I'm annoyed by the fact that Blizz doesn't add anymore content.I mean really, every xpack I see 2 major things that are added and finished within 2-3 months, after that, silence of the lambs.Content is content, if you want people to play your game, start adding more stuff to keep them interested in it because if you don't give a fk about it, it will eventually die and crash into oblivion.We will see an increase in players when the movies launches but only for 1 month and that's all.

Didn't people get free shit with Recruit a Friend and Scroll of Resurrection? Recruit a Friend gave XP perks, the game, person sending the invite got mounts. For what? I got multiple items with RAF because someone else bought the subscription. Scroll of Resurrection they gave out items to bring people back.

My opinion? Grab the code(s) and see if you can just merge it with your current battle.net account. Why did this warrant you making a damn video about it? Surprised you didn't have a cam showing your tears as well.

I have played this game since vanilla (end of vanilla) and have no issues at all with Blizzard luring in more people to play.

For the People who are complaining about the code being only for NEW players..

You can put this free account on your current battle.net if it's combined with the transmog
The weapons can be added to your transmog toolkit.
Trade the code for a steam game on these boards if you don't want the account/transmog
You might even be able to petition a GM to transfer the game time on this fresh account to your main account.

If it's separate keys.
Use the transmog on your main.
sell/trade the expansions
sell the transmog
use the second account RAF for rewards + free game time on mine

it will show blizzard with increase subs for the one month, so stop the QQ and everyone wins, new players and veterans alike

IF they give both a WoD account and the gear , personally i hope it will be separate codes
This way will make happy new and old players too since as an old player i don't need the WoD acc
I would certainly use the Transmog on my main and gift the game to my nephew.
Or if my nephew don't need it i would sell the account or bot on it lol.

IF is a combined code i will use Arenawarrior suggestion and try make a ticket to transfer the game time. Blizzard gave to a friend of mine 15 free days of game-play to reward his loyalty for being an old player when he ask for a free day so i'm almost certain they will transfer this free month from the new WoD acc to the main account.

Blizzard as many others companies is only trying to attract new players into their game by doing this and we old players don't loose anything (even the new WoD acc can be RAF-ed for rewards or ticketed for game time). Is something normal when you lead business to try get more customers and i have nothing against.

The only part i hate but at the same time i understand that as a company they do anything to bring new players in , is when they change the game itself to attract more " kids " into it. Already started almost 10 years ago on Isle of Quel'Danas when we learned that an Epic item ceased to be truly " epic " and ended with LFG + LFR (+ some Cartoon Network / Bullet proof monks pandas) because players qq that is to hard to make friends and create a damn group or to lazy to watch a 10 min guide movie to be good enough to do a normal raid run (i totally agree however Pre-made groups , low servers merges , Real ID's friends and cross-realms changes to make things possible for low pop servers too !)
