Blizzard Officially Addresses Nostalrius

Apparently this announcement came out yesterday but I have not heard anything about it until today.

tl;dr version: Blizzard addresses the community's desire to open up "vanilla" servers. In addition they go into detail about having to protect their intellectual property and possible methods (as well as complications) with opening these new servers. They even reached out to the devs that ran Nostalrius and have been communicating with them.

As far as I know there was no dedicated post in WoW General so please link it to me if you find it. Posts within existing threads are harder to find so having it out in the open is a lot easier for those who don't know exactly where to pinpoint the specific post in regards to the announcement. This may be in private servers already but many people like me who don't actively play private servers would look to WoW General for this type of information. Thank you for your insight, however

Like I said: No dedicated thread. Single posts are difficult to find. Putting this in WoW General serves as a place where the whole community can see it, not just emulator enthusiasts.
